Mr. Bean is the winner this time. DNA shows that he is the sire of all three of Bear's puppies. Yay, Mr. Bean! He barely weighs 3lbs but got the job done.

The AKC DNA profiles have arrived! There is one profile for each of the 3 puppies, Bear, Jack and Mr. Bean (6 DNA profiles altogether). Each profile contains 200 markers.

Now for the meticulous and tedious process of comparing 200 markers for each sire (2), dam and puppy to determine parentage. That's comparing 800 markers per puppy, 2400 markers altogether.

Introducing our two new sires:
Lil Promised Lands Hawkeye "Jack" (long coat)
TLC Fiery Red Jem "Mr. Bean" (smooth coat)

We purposefully bred our mama "Bear" to both of these sires, in hopes to get puppies from both. The DNA kits just arrived and we are eager to get the samples off to the lab to see who the sire(s) are.

More puppies arrived on June 1st: 2 cream girls (Girl #1 on left side is slightly darker) and 1 sabled fawn red boy w/a black mask. These could be long or smooth coats or both. We'll know which when they are a few weeks old.

This was an exciting breeding, as we purposefully bred mama "Bear" to TWO sires (photos and more info on these two boys will be added shortly) and we are hoping these puppies are from both! DNA testing will reveal who the sire(s) are. We won't have those results for several weeks. In the meantime, we can have fun guessing who the sire(s) are. These are new males we purchased in 2023 and I have not yet introduced them.

We showed with some beautiful dogs down in Conway, AR at the Saline County Kennel Club/Toy Dog Club of Central Arkansas this weekend. Luna got Reserve Friday and Saturday and today she won Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite S*x over a beautiful special.

We are pleased to introduce our newest addition: another little long coat boy. He was born on May 9th and is getting all the milk and attention so is a bit spoiled.

This was a special breeding we took awhile to decide on. His parents are our older beloved mama Pumpkin and newer young sire Boots. Pumpkin absolutely loves motherhood and although she is older, we finally decided to allow her the opportunity to have one last litter before she is officially retired. For those of you who know Pumpkin, I will answer the question that might be forming in your mind: no, she will not be available once she retires. She will be kept by us to live out her life with our family. We do not have any plans to change our mind. :)
