Please ensure you pay on time - as a self-employed person the smooth running of my business and being able to take the best care of your pups depends on timely payment.

So I can get petrol for the van, keep up with insurance payments, keep training in new services, keep treats and equipment stocked up, the list goes on!

So please be advised I'm going to start charging a fee for late payments.

Important reminders to take away from getting to know Ethel (p.s. look at that lil face!)

Ethel was not used to being walked by anyone but her owner, so having me walk her was a bit scary. She would pull or lie down and wait for her owner, and was clearly uncomfortable.

So before I could walk her alone, we went out together - me, Ethel and her owner. Slowly he moved to the back so he was out of sight, and slowly we brought down the time that he was with us on the walk, so eventually it was just me and Ethel 🫶

It's so important to always check for signs of your dogs COMFORT level, rather than forcing them on a walk they're not happy about.

All walkers should make sure a new dog is happy and comfortable with them, before they even consider going out on a walk alone with them.

PSA: it's not the harness!

If your dog's pulling, it's because they're excited to get where they're going (and designed to get there faster than you!) and need a little extra training.

Your dog's neck should always be protected, and a harness is always a safer option, even if your dog doesn't pull 🫶

I find a common misconception is that socialisation is about teaching a dog to be super friendly and "social" to other dogs, but in fact it's about teaching your doggo to interact with the world in a safe way, and not to be reactive to neutral stimuli. People, dogs, cars - aren’t a big deal! We can cope with those 🫶

When learning time is also playtime 😍

What if we just... went for a walk in a beautiful place and absolutely smashed our recall and made new friends and had a lovely morning? 😍
