AllJoy 4 Paws is a reckless rescue:
Over a month ago, in typical fashion, AllJoy 4 Paws stopped paying the facility who was boarding several dogs for her in Northern California. This rescue is known for doing this with many Southern California facilities. Rather than network the dogs and get them into foster care and adopted, for years, several dogs have moved down the pipeline of facility after facility.
The facility that the rescue stopped paying asked that the dogs be removed. Two weeks ago, the rescue’s founder had the dogs un safely removed from the property. The dogs were then likely taken to Brady Fehr’s place. A person who the rescue knows is reckless and irresponsible… but they use him because… anything to save a buck.
On Friday, 10/4, Brady loaded up approximately 12-13 dogs in the back of a rental box truck, photo posted in the comments. The dogs were placed in this truck without crates and without any ventilation, it was ~100° that day. Brady, whom AllJoy 4 Paws contracted to do this job, was driving while intoxicated. It’s said that the truck lost it’s tires, flew though fencing, and was traveling at a high rate of speed. In the midst of driving reckless, the back of the truck was compromised. The back door rolled up, and huskies were thrown into traffic.
1 dog died
~ 8-9 are in 2 separate shelters
~ 4 dogs are currently at large
The point of this post is to not say what’s already been said and shared (links posted below), but it’s to share that this rescue continues to operate recklessly. Many of these dogs have been in the rescue between 6mo - 4 years. This rescue pulls an unsafe amount of dogs from shelters weekly, but they fail to advocate for the dogs in their care who have been around long-term and desperately need homes.
Many of the dogs that were in this accident were at Shandarin kennels, then TJ’s home in Wrightwood (a known dog hoarder), then boarded in Phelan, then sent to NorCal and have continued to bounce around. How is this a life for those dogs? Why is this rescue pulling at LEAST 10 dogs per week from shelters if they can’t maintain the dogs they’ve already vowed to care for?
This rescue has a bad rap with many organizations, fosters, adopters, and former volunteers. They are known for being reckless, which is how this latest disaster occurred. They made a post and are deleting comments that don’t fit their narrative. They’re trying to raise monitory donations including a GoFundMe for dogs that they’ve continued to fail and skimp out on medical for.
The drunk driver, Brady, was booked and had a $0 bail. As of tonight, 10/6, he has been rebooked for animal cruelty. Let’s remember that Brady is not the only one at fault here, the rescue who owns the dogs is also at fault for allowing and condoning such behavior.
