Rescue cat Mara welcomed 4 kittens yesterday. We’re so thrilled that all is well so far; the reality of cat rescue is that sometimes it doesn’t go well and that suffering is avoidable.

Our former foster cat, Mama Milano, was returned to the shelter this weekend through no fault of her own. After having kittens for the last time she would love nothing more than to find a forever home where she can get the love and attention she deserves. You can meet her at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington tomorrow from 12-7pm.

Sweet baby Oliver (fka Drax) was my work-from-home buddy today while he waited for to finish with work. All the guardians are at home now and my heart is full!

Just dropped off Drax (now named Oliver) and the other guardians at the shelter for surgery tomorrow. I’ll be so happy when they all get to their new homes! Oliver’s new mom is friends with another recent AWLA kitten adopter and I foresee many kitten parties in their future.
