During one of our petting sessions, I noticed a new lump on one of Orange's front legs. I sampled it to examine under the microscope and it appears to be a cyst from an oil gland in the skin, but I didn't want to take any chances. I removed the lump today and sent it to the lab for a biopsy. Orange is recovering well from her surgery and doesn't seem to mind the e-collar. She is still a bit drunk from her anesthesia and pain medication and taking out her frustrations on her froggy. Now it is time for some bedtime snuggles.

Oliver turned 11 years old this weekend! He's my perfect little house panther and I love his little beautiful soul! Even when he eats my bread if I forget to hide it and tries to steal my cereal and milk when I'm not looking. He is so perfect in every single way ... and he knows it! Here are some pictures from the past year. He's living his best life, as he deserves.

For all of my cat parents in the Grafton area, the Tufts cardiology team is looking for healthy cats eating a commercial diet (mostly dry food) that would like to participate in a study. It involves one visit and your cat will get a cardiac work up and blood testing free of charge. The cardiology team at Tufts is an amazing group of people. They helped my kitty Liam live an extra happy year after he was diagnosed with heart failure when he was just 4 years old. I am forever grateful.
