On Saturday, I had the time of my life! 💉🐾

It wasn’t a party or a getaway — it was something even more fulfilling.

I spent my Saturday doing what I love most: touching lives through veterinary practice. Together with my senior colleague, Dr. Bolanle Akanbi-Hakeem, we hosted a community outreach and free anti-rabies vaccination campaign right in our neighborhood.

From the moment people began gathering, it was clear that this was more than just a vaccination drive — it was an awakening. The questions, curiosity, and honest confessions of “I never knew that!” reminded me how much work still lies ahead in creating rabies awareness.

By the end of the day, 13 dogs were vaccinated and over 15 people had gained vital knowledge that could protect not just their pets, but their families too.
And the ripple effect didn’t stop there — in the following days, more pet owners walked into our clinic to vaccinate their animals, inspired by the educational posters and conversations we sparked.

That’s impact. That’s why we do what we do.

This isn’t the end of the journey — it’s just the beginning.
We’re marching toward a world where rabies will be history by 2030.

Today, we celebrate the amazing creatures that share our planet and enrich our lives in countless ways. Animals play a vital role in our ecosystem—balancing nature, supporting biodiversity, and contributing to a healthier environment.

From the loyal companionship of our pets 🐶🐱, to farm animals that provide wholesome food 🐓🐄, to wildlife that keeps our natural world thriving 🦁🦋🐢—their impact is truly immeasurable.

As we mark this special day, I’ll be offering FREE rabies vaccinations to help keep our beloved pets safe and our community free from rabies. 💉🐕🐩 This is one small step toward creating a healthier and happier environment for everyone.
