Exactly one year ago you were celebrating your birthday snacking on flowers left over from the summer and a bug feast. Relaxing in whatever was left of the fall sunshine. Running around, being happy.

And now your tank is empty and cold. The room is quiet without the sound of your claws and scales ticking against tile and rock. The sunshine doesn't feel the same, I miss you. There are so many flowers left over this year that I wish I could give to you. I wish I could see your happy eyes and excited munching again.

I hope wherever you are now, it's still a happy birthday. And I hope there are a lot of bugs and flowers.

Almost all of my narrow winged mantises have passed away. There's one left. You really gotta cherish these little dudes while you have them, they're gone so fast
