A Story of Beautiful Young Lady (Anvil)

It's a single female street kitten from her mother. She was born in DIAMOND MAPENZI BEACH RESORT between Pwani Mchangani and Kiwengwa.

Canadian tourists' family explained to us that there's a kitten in the hotel that seems like she's suffering from a very serious disease because at that time, she couldn't eat, drink, suffer from cold weather on these rainy days, she couldn't even walk properly and she had very smelly mouth.

Our dedicated team arrived at the Hotel, took all the procedures to save her, we found out it was a Calici Virus Infection, Also Anvil has deformity on the left back leg and tail she can't walk properly. Since it was a very serious disease the kitten had to have an intensive care of 5 days of medication, our team supposed to be in the hotel everyday for 5 days to give medicines and necessary care.

We had no choice. We were supposed to vaccinate both of them (mother and kitten) to protect the kitten because her mother was also sick from calici but was not serious like Anivl, so possibly she got infected by her mother. This was done after both recovered.

On the next day of the first day of our arrival at the hotel, the Canadian Tourist Family was supposed to fly back to their home, but our team couldn't stop caring her till recovering.

After one week of treatment and one week of recovering, now the Anvil is healthy and happy. She has been vaccinated. She likes to play every time, but she's just alone all the time. She doesn't have anyone to play with because her mother is out every time ( as known she's a street cat)

Anvil is desperately looking for an adoption. She needs a loving family to take care of, because she has deformity on her left back leg, tail she doesn't have proper movement, she'll possibly be suffering to find food when she grows up, and also her eyes need to be cleaned every particular time.

If someone adopts Anvil, Zanzibar Animal Care will give free sterilisation service when she grows up.

Our sterilisation campaign has gone to the end!. Everything was amazing.

A total of 86 animals were sterilised and given Rabies Vaccine.

Thanks to all who came to volunteer help handling the animals and participating in various activities even though they were not vets.

We need more equipment and tools to help more animals in Zanzibar.

This campaign is for street cats and dogs in Zanzibar that will continually be done in every weekend

Zanzibar Animal Care and Petsmopolitan.net are the main organizers of this campaign but any support and donations are accepted as it'll energize the happening of the program and more animals will get assisted.

Our campaign has been great for today, 12 cats have spayed and castrated ( 8 females 4 males)

And others have been treated against various diseases like cat flu, wounds and eyes infections.

This is a continuing program of helping street cats which is done on every weekend.

Dear Animal Lovers, we'll be having a continuing volunteering program for helping streets cats and dogs on treatment, Spaying and Rabies vaccines.

This will be done all over the island in every weekend but we'll start with Stone Town, then we'll gradually move places to places.

This is organized by Zanzibar Animal Care and Petsmopolitan.net but we're welcoming everyone who wants to volunteer to join us on this exciting opportunity. If you're an animal lover and you want to be part of it, you're free to join or give anything that will work.

So many things needed and we can't afford them because a large number of animals need help in rural and town areas and we are not good enough on drugs, equipment and other necessary materials but we'll touch where our hands we'll be able to.

We'll give free treatment to every suffering animal but if you need to bring us your pet then you'll have to donate us as it'll help us to buy more drugs and other necessary equipment for street cats and dogs

Animals need our help and it's heart touching when you see them suffering.
