A busy weekend away showing our Welsh Springer Spaniels.

Featherdale Celtic Dragon was invited to compete at the Black Hawk , ran by Tasmanian Kennel Club
Puppy of the Year show at Westbury.

We were so pleased with how she looked and showed. Only one can win, and it was to a lovely Rottweller, well deserving of the title.

Scout, then went on for the Saturday and Sunday show to be awarded Bit €h Challenge and Runner Up Best in Breed.

Teddy and I had a fun day out sniffing; themed Game of Bones! Thank you to the organisers for an amazing day, even with getting drenched, we had a blast.

Teddy has only had a few formal lessons, and with us practicing at home.
I was very surprised when he won the game ( Find the magic potion) where he had to find the scent hidden in buckets of water. 🥇

He also found two out of five scents hidden in the ground, something we haven’t practiced for either 😂😅😁
The plovers flying around were a big distraction to a bird dog 😂
I’m so very proud of my boy.

Purebred dogs, breed for purpose. Our Welsh Springers are called ‘flushing dogs’ they are also good retrieves. They zig zag back and forth across a field, to flush game out. They work closely with their handlers, making them fantastic companions dogs.
