Team Baron here! We got through 11 rescued babies. They had fleas, ticks and were covered in fly eggs. The fly eggs are very dangerous. They will cause wounds in the skin and then the maggots move in and eat them alive. Horrific, I know. We immediately started bathing and combing. These babies have a fighting chance now that Wharton County SPOT has taken them in.

After I don’t even know how many weeks in my care, this little girl not only learned how to open doors to go where she wants (only the inside doors thank goodness!) but she was laying next to me when I woke up this morning. She has come leaps and bounds since she was rescued after the van accident & being on her own in the wild for weeks! Wharton County SPOT

Velma’s name is now changed to Rudolf (we call her RuRu) and her 8 babies are the 8 reindeer! She is recovering as well as expected after major surgery. She is now eating & drinking with a little help from her favorite kiddo!

My sweet Momma needed some help bringing these sweet pups into the world today. Luckily Dr. Baron & the staff at Coastal Plains Animal Clinic were all ready to help deliver her puppies. Donations to Wharton County SPOT greatly appreciated!
