I can now add “Chicken Nurse” to my resumé after helping to care for this sweet girl. Tina Turner had a case of bumble foot, and required oral meds twice per day and Epsom salts soaks and bandaging daily. She was soooo good!

RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY!

🔥 Heat Alert for Pet Owners! 🔥

Once a dog's body temperature goes above 105 degrees, irreversible organ and cellular damage can occur. Flat-nosed breeds, breeds with thick coats, and puppies are at an increased risk!

Our Recommendations:
🐾 Keep pets at home, indoors in a cool environment
🐾 Avoid time outside during the heat of the day
🐾 Limit walks and outside activities, if possible
🐾 Ensure your pets are secure and wearing visible, permanent ID

Symptoms of Heat Distress:
🚨Open mouth panting
🚨Thick saliva
🚨Restlessness
🚨Increased heart rate
🚨Diarrhea or vomiting
🚨Loss of consciousness

What to Do if You Suspect Heat Distress:
* Offer water
* Move to a cool environment
* Wet the pads of their feet with cold water or rubbing alcohol

IF YOUR PET IS DOWN OR UNRESPONSIVE: rush them to the closest veterinarian for emergency care!

I will have three small open crates traveling from Marshall, OK to Lexington, KY August 7th or 8th. I’m on a time crunch, so I can’t deviate much. Also, I only pick up and deliver from one location at a time. I am USDA registered, fully insured through PCI, certified in Pet First Aid & CPR, am a former vet tech of 15 years, and have been in professional pet care for over 37 years. Reviews available on my page. My fee runs about .65 per mile with 25% of total for each additional pet. Be advised that I do have an ADA service dog that travels with me.

If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like for your pets in the cargo area of a plane, check out @deej on TikTok. As a ramp agent for a major airline, he has posted several quick videos of pets preparing for air travel.

I am so hesitant to post this due to the negative connotations it’s going to give towards pet transport, but if it helps this poor girl get her dogs back, it’ll be worth it. PLEASE, require a contract with your pet transporter, ask them for GPS tracking and photo updates along the way. If the pets are to be delivered to someone else, require them to sign off on the paperwork and require photos of safe delivery before making payment. Situations like this one are VERY rare. Please don’t let it sway your opinion towards all pet transporters. Most of us are very professional and treat your pets like the precious cargo that they are. I pray she finds her fur babies. 😢
