I am now carrying Break-Away Buckles for dog collars.

Occasionally I am asked if I carry Break-Away Buckles. It just didn't make sense to me to have a break-away buckle on a dog collar, because as soon as you hook a leash to the collar, the collar will open up and fall off.

A customer had explained to me that it is important for her dogs because the dogs play hard and frequently gets tangled up in the other dog's collar, and needs "rescuing".

Then I saw a picture of a Break-Away collar with a leash hooked on. The collar has 2 D-Rings and you hook the leash to both D-Rings. That's what keeps the collar from breaking open. This was an eye-opener for me ... now I understand.

So .... I bought some Break-Away Buckles for those customers that occasionally ask me for one.
