What do we do when you are the last puppy and missing all your friends??
Teach you fun tricks!
I said this in Dobby’s temperament evaluation too! He surprises me when he is away from his littermates! He is braver and more willing to please on his own!
When he is in with his littermates he was reserved and not one to take the lead. But look at this little puppy and his growing motivation when he is on his own.
This is why we evaluate temperament as an individual and make sure our puppies have time to show us who they are!
So much with this litter has been easy but enjoying their time in the crate has been the struggle!!
Lots of practice to get this far! But today they settled the best they ever had!
We made it!!
We made it through our first week!! Its been a rollercoaster to say the least! Lexi is doing well but we are battling some engorgement, so that means some warm compresses, sunflower lecithin and temperature checks.
Mastitis can pop up so quickly and I want Lexi to be feeling her best and comfortable as she focuses on these babies!
We had a little boy who struggled to gain weight this week but as of last night he’s almost 100g over birth weight 🎉
These puppies are so sweet and Lexi loves them so much!! We’ve started handling them a little bit more these last few days and they just melt in our hands!
1 week pictures will be posted tomorrow!
Our waiting list families will get their 1 week update email later this evening!
Our last F1 Bernedoodle puppy!
This female is up for anything! She loves people, food and playing with balls!
She has a very soft curly coat! She loves to please and is very eager to learn!
Send me a message if you would like to learn more about this beautiful puppy!
Sometimes our daily exposure items are simple.
These pom poms are shiny, make a different sound and have unpredictable movements.
I am so proud of these little babies!
They have come so far in their crate training journey!!
They were all calm, relaxed and laying down when I started cleaning their space yesterday afternoon! Of course it had to be documented because it was the first time I had all of them in crates and settled in under 5 minutes!!
These boys love to play in the puddles and the mud!!
Frankie is going to his new home in a few days and I think Duke is really going to miss his little buddy!
Good thing Duke has some puppies due next weekend! His puppies (F1 Bernedoodles) are going to be so cute!! 🥰
Frankie is the sweetest boy!
He is 23 weeks old tomorrow, he is house trained, sleeps through the night, knows basic commands and walks well on a leash! He’s been a really easy puppy!
He would love another dog to play with!
He has 30 days of free Trupanion Insurance, has all of his puppy vaccinations completed, up to date on deworming, microchipped and has 4 weeks of puppy training with My Loyal Hound to give him the best support with his new family!

This is Frankie, he is an F1b Newfypoo and will be 21 weeks tomorrow.
He is microchipped, has all of his puppy and rabies vaccinations and has been dewormed multiple times!
Frankie sleeps through the night, knows commands for sit, down and doing well with wait. He walks well on a leash and has a good foundation for his recall. He’s been to a variety of places and has met a variety of people! He’s also great with our cats and other dogs but has also met chickens and reindeer! He didn’t run at, chase or bark at these other animals, he was very polite!
Frankie needs a family who is experienced with dogs and preferably has a dog for him to play with already! Experienced in the aspect of knowing that puppies need time to settle into their new home, that he could be upset while he transitions and settles, and that he could be wanting to be close to his new people while he get comfortable in his new home. Frankie is a little bit tender hearted so a family who will be stressed easily by puppyhood is not a good fit.
Although he is a big boy he is still very much a puppy and his size and intelligence may make people feel that he is older than what he is!
Here in our home where he is comfortable he has no problem being alone and will go into a crate with minimal fuss.
He was first pick of the litter and was homed at 8 weeks old for less than 24 hours, he was then with a new family last month for 6 days and their only complaint was his barking and not wanting to be alone, which is 100% normal for a puppy. Both homes were brand new to having a puppy so for Frankie’s sake he needs a home with confident owners! He needs a family who will not give up on him if he takes a week or two to settle in!
In the last few weeks that he has been back with us we’ve been working on Frankie being alone in different rooms, going outside on his own, and going for car rides in a crate in the van. I’ve been extra mindful to correct his barking if he barks in the house. He
This video was from Saturday, they turned ten weeks old yesterday! 🥰
They are fantastic little puppies!
After completing their temperament evaluations at 7 weeks old we’ve been working with them in areas where they needed a boost. To see them become more confident and resilient everyday as they explore the world is so much fun!
One thing we’ve been really working on is jumping.
In this video you will see how they “sit to say please” instead of jumping up all over the fence. The goal is that they sit quietly when they want my attention instead of using negative behaviours such as jumping, barking and biting. It’s a work in progress but they love to learn!!

From time to time I am asked what is something that is important to teach my puppy right away?
My answer for this is a strong recall!
We try to imprint this on our puppies as soon as they are introduced to food.
Every time I lay their food dish down, I say “Puppy Puppy Puppy” in a high pitch and excited voice! You will never believe how quick this catches on and no sleeping puppy will ever miss a meal when they hear that puppy call!!
Now that they are older I am starting it outside
with them.
I wait until they are distracted but still fairly close to me. I call them over and have now added “come” to the end of my puppy call and have treats ready for instant reward for coming all the way to my hand.
They walk around the yard and I call them back a few different times so that it is fun and not being called to go inside or in a crate.
To avoid this being something that the choose not to listen to I keep these things in mind…
If one of them was not being responsive I would add a long lead to them to reinforce the recall.
I only call them if I feel confident they will come.
I use the same recall word or phrase every time.
I reward with super yummy treats that are not used often!
This weekend I am taking the easy way out and using the snow as their new novelty item!
They absolutely loved it!!
Today they are 9 weeks old, and ready for their forever families!

Halle’s Standard Poodle puppies turned 3 weeks old yesterday!!
Today we separated their whelping box into 2 sections, a sleeping area and a potty area.
Here’s hoping they catch on quick!! 🤞
It’s hard to want to do anything but watch these sweet little babies all day! 🥰
They are growing so fast!
We are alive!!
We’ve had to hide away for a few weeks due to illness… not fun!! Luckily our isolation is now over and I am slowly regaining my strength day by day!
I have A LOT of emails now to return and I am thankful for everyone who has been so patient with me as there were days I wasn’t even able to stay awake or get out of bed for longer than an hour at a time!
Good news for those asking is that we still have a few of these sweet babies here with us! I’ll be working my way down my list starting tonight!!
Our black and white Parti girl will be joining our program and potentially may have a guardian home already arranged! If you feel you would like to learn more about our guardian program we will have more opportunities coming up within 2022!!
