STUNNING REG SEC D ALLROUNDER MARE

Here we have Saffy, a beautiful approx 15.2hh 13yo registered welsh section D mare. Previously privately owned, she spent most of her life on the showing scene - attending Royal Welsh, until her owner moved onto other horses.

With us, Saffy has been ticking over predominantly with hacking, some light schooling and a few arena hires. To school, she is snaffle mouthed at all times. She is respectful of the aids, with good brakes and gently responsive to the leg. She is a very easy, uncomplicated ride for a confident and experienced rider - requiring minimal effort from the rider for maximum reward. Her paces are mesmerising with a lot of action, and she’s a comfortable ride. Saffy will hack all day long, in company or alone. She is good with traffic, and not spooky. She is not nappy nor worried about leaving her friends. When jumping, she is genuine and honest. We feel her jumping experience is limited, however she is an incredibly quick learner and just wants to please her rider. She has natural ability in this field and is destined for success with a small amount of further education.

On the ground, Saffy is easy to handle and a very affectionate mare. She is good to catch, lead, shoe, load and travel. She turns out with mares/geldings and is not dominant in the field. Saffy can be fidgety when tied up to groom or tack up, she has no malice at all and this could be worked on but is a very minor fault which does not overshadow her qualities.

Saffy has been a pleasure to have on the yard and we would love to see her in a forever home that she deserves. She definitely puts shame to the stereotypical “chestnut mare” saying!

No novices, she is safe but forward and requires someone with capability in order to get the best out of her.

Stunning 12.2/3hh 5yo blue and white ride & drive cob gelding looking for his perfect home. He is a very quiet, genuine boy and an absolute pleasure to own and deal with in all aspects. He has a fantastic temperament and is incredibly honest.

Bear is a steady, safe ride and absolutely bombproof - a word I don’t use lightly! A real “old head on young shoulders” type suitable for a beginner/novice rider. He has 3 lovely paces, very soft in the mouth, excellent brakes and more woah than go. He has been ridden on busy main roads in the heaviest of traffic - including double decker buses & farm machinery. Hacks alone & in company. Never silly or strong. Canters across open fields without speeding up if not asked. Can be ridden on the buckle or no reins at all - I can’t stress how safe this little guy is. He is equally as fantastic to drive, not green at all. He can be left for weeks/months without work and be jumped straight on and ridden without batting an eyelid. He is good to load, travel, groom, bath, catch, shoe etc.

Bear would make a fantastic riding school pony/RDA or lead rein/first ridden. He will make an absolute best friend for a child and we would love to see him out having fun.

Beautiful Ronnie is a 14.2hh 12yo British riding pony available to a companion only home due to injuries meaning he can no longer be ridden. He lives out all year round and is rugged in winter. Cheap to keep and barefoot. He can be difficult to catch with new people. Currently turned out on his own, turns out well with geldings. Also happy with mares but becomes a needy boyfriend🙈 so best off being the only gelding in the field if with mares. Easy to do in all ways. Must go to the best home⭐️

⭐️ULTIMATE SAFE WEIGHT CARRYING EX RIDING SCHOOL/RDA COB GELDING⭐️

Billy 15.2hh 11yo cob gelding. He is the ultimate weight carrier/novice ride. He’s been in the same home for 5yo and sold through no fault of his own. Prior to that, he spent a couple years in a riding school & RDA centre. He is excellent to handle in all ways, good to catch, shoe, lead, load, travel etc. Will stand to be groom & tacked up. He is a polite gentleman in all ways.

To ride, he is the type that can be ridden as less as you like without getting hot or fizzy. Prior to us having him, he was out of work for over a year and was a saint to bring back into work - behaved like a horse who’s ridden 5 times a week! He will school and pop the odd fence, he’s no world be**er, but his heart lies with hacking and adventures. He loves to hack alone and in company, will go through water and excellent in traffic. He can be ridden on the buckle, is very well voice commanded and will not follow another horse if they go cantering off in front of him - he will happily plod along in walk. He canters across open fields without speeding up, always snaffle mouthed and excellent brakes. He doesn’t mind an unbalanced or novice passenger, he looks after his rider very well.

He is up to date with teeth, farrier, vaccinations & osteopath. He has some minor vet history which will be discussed with serious interested parties - this is reflected in price and I’m certain he WILL NOT pass a vetting due to this. For this reason, to get the best out of him and for him to last as long as possible comfortably, we feel he would be best suited to a hacking/pleasure ride home, maybe with the odd outing for dressage. The odd jump will be ok, but he’s best for hacking.

His ideal home would be a nervous adult, a novice adult, an adult getting back into riding after a long time out the saddle, or someone who’s confident and capable but just wants to hack and have fun. He has also been ridden by a capable teenager and a child and he looks after them very well.

Billy has been a pleasure to own, and he is sure to make someone very happy. He comes with bridle and some rugs.
