Us at Chirpy Chook thought we would help out with what you could feed your hens.

If you didn't know your hens need a balanced diet just like humans. Getting the correct nutrients can make your hens happy & healthy.

On the picture we have shown a couple of groups that your hens would love and encourage them to naturally forage. Also, the Meadow Net can help with giving them something engaging to simulate your hens. 🐔

Did you know today is... Never Give Up Day!

This symbolises a mindset of determination and gets you through the difficult times. Now we all know when we start off with having our hens it’s all a bit of trial and error.

We wanted to share one of our top tips when owning hens:
Give them a balanced diet - this will give them a variety of food to try and give them extra nutrients.
Give chickens crushed eggshells to help to supplement their calcium intake.

Happy Wednesday!
We wanted to tell you about what our lovely ladies like to eat; they get standard layers pellets, but the best part of their day is finding out what is in the Meadow Net. Is it fruit, is it veggies or have we been foraging in the fields again…? Our ladies love any of these.

Confined to the barn this week, as Mr Fox is on the prowl. That's OK, they have a Meadow Net to keep them entertained!
Today's treats are iceberg lettuce, pear and corn bread. The ladies love it!
