From the 1st of November I am excited to be offering exclusive availability for horses in long/short term training or for sale.

Whether you are wanting your horse campaigned through the levels, need some miscommunications worked through or are a busy owner wanting to keep your horse in work but can only ride a couple of days a week, I can tailor a program to suit you.

Over the years I have had the privilege to ride under many renowned riders across Australia at a number of elite performance stables. Having trained my own horse from breaker to Grand Prix and taken a variety of horses/ponies from young horse through the EA levels, I know the importance of training for long-term goals and establishing sound foundations. I pride myself on ethical training methods and whole horse management to develop confident, sound and happy athletes.

In my current role working alongside leading equine lameness and spinal veterinarian Dr Anushka von Oppen, I boast a unique and ever-growing insight into biomechanics and performance horse management.
Collaborating with some of the best professionals in the industry, your horse will be supported by a wealth of resources from every aspect to maximise their potential.

Based at the picturesque Kilmore Equestrian Centre just an hour north of Melbourne CBD.
Facilities boast
- private, grassy paddocks with shelter
- option for stabling
- full-sized indoor with a premium European surface and adjacent viewing gallery
- covered tie ups, hot wash, round yard and 6-horse electric walker
- access to poles/cavalletti and hills on the property plus a quiet road for hacking out, to ensure variety in your horse’s training

Finally daylight savings 🤩 meaning longer days, better weather (hopefully!) and more time for teaching.
I’ve had some availabilities pop up this weekend for East Gippsland

Saturday 12th at SILVER GUM ESTATE, lessons available from 12pm
Heading towards Bairnsdale in the afternoon.

Sunday 13th starting at Bairnsdale and working back towards Melbourne

First outing in 8 months with my partner in crime and second ever Intermediate II 🫶🏻
I was wanting a cruisey day to get a baseline for how our training is going and, well, Cierra definitely got the cruisey part right 😂 way too many silly mistakes however managed to pull off a 65%.

2% better than our first competition at this level, so we aim for 2% better next time as well (and feed the pony more oats!!!)

Thanks to Whittlesea Plenty Valley Dressage Club for hosting such a reliably wonderful event.

Prevention is better than cure! 💪🏻

Thanks so much to Anushka from CORE Equine Biomechanics for Cierra’s gait analysis and chiropractic session.

Anushka uses SLEIP AI motion analysis to give objective feedback, picking up on subtle changes in your horse’s gait so you can diagnose and treat any potential discomforts before they become a bigger problem! Regular monitoring of your horse’s movement allows you to make changes to their management or training program, ensuring longevity in their careers.

Plus, Anushka always has Smoochies!!! 🍬

I have experience working with a variety of horse and rider combinations, and pride myself on creating a positive learning environment for my students. I have a keen interest in the relationship between horse and rider biomechanics, a pragmatic mindset, and wholistic horse management to optimise performance.
I have been told I have a knack for “painting pictures” and translating information in a way that’s easy to understand for all levels and abilities.

Having trained my own horse from breaker to Grand Prix plus taken a number of horses through EA levels including flying changes, I know the importance of training for the long run and establishing sound foundations to help you achieve your individual riding goals.

Fully insured with ABN and in the process of attaining my PCA Preliminary and EA Introductory coach accreditations.

Lessons $80 plus travel and facility fees where applicable.
Located at KILMORE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE or available to travel.

Fully booked out for pony club rallies for 2024.
Plenty of great references available!
