If you find your dog is doing something you don't like, stop and think about why. They are not being lazy, stubborn, spiteful or dominant.
Here is a great pie chart to help you work out why the are actually struggling, and unable to do as you have asked, or would like them to do. Then, you will be able to help them do things the way you would like them too, instead of getting annoyed or upset that they could not do it before.

I know I have posted this before, however it is so true, and always important to remember that training your dog is always going to have its ups and down. keep at it, and you will get there!

A check in is a valuable tool to teach your dog that great things happen around you. This helps to keep them engaged, and builds the bond between a dog and it’s guardian.

It’s so valuable, it’s one of the first things we teach on our Little Stars puppy courses.

I am often asked why I use treats when training a dog, because its just bribing them to do what I want. The truth is, it all depends on how you use the treats, so make sure you are rewarding your dog and not bribing them
