So it has been a productive week for us.
I love this page because this is our journey, our truth and most importantly our diary. We will not keep anything from you as we are a breeding program and the more you know about us the better.
Tuesday August 6th, 2024 we had our very first experience of a singleton puppy. A singleton puppy is 1 puppy in the litter. How it happens is many ways but no fault in the Male or Female. We did do artificial insemination. The timing must have been wrong either we were too late or the egg over matured. Sasha fierce is 3 years old and is healthy so there was no play on that part. She did have to have a c-section and she is recovering well. Also being stubborn and still wants to take the stairs and jump on the couch. So I have taken the cushions off the couch while I am away so she can heal better. She is sad but produced a lot of milk the doctor said. She is good to breed again. So for the next 6 months she will rest and recover. Our future breedings on our pups will be natural from here on out. So that way our stud can tie as many times to ensure we breed at the right time and get those mature eggs. We will let nature take its course from here on out. I think if we decide to breed again we may do a litter of poodles again. If you have any questions please ask away as there is no right or wrong answer as to how this happened. But it is rare. Our singleton puppy did not survive. He was solid black. So Sasha fierce is on her medication now and getting all the love I can possibly give her while I am home. Thank you for all that has been on this journey with us and most importantly we want to thank our stud providers. That family is so amazing and the bond we have made during this experience from February 2024 until now is just out of this world. Our friendship will continue and I want everyone to give a big heart for this family, Coco and Sasha Fierce. Below I will post the video on her X-ray that was done before surgery.
