🐴The Pingy Pony Seeks a New Pilot! ✨

Hi everyone—I’m Nova, and if you know me, you know I’m one in a million, my rider calls me her true "heart horse". The kind you don’t just own, but form a deep, lasting bond with.

I am small and mighty at just 15'2 ( so not actually a pony, just compact). I like to be classy, no white to keep clean, no nonsense, just sleek, compact athleticism in its finest form. I’ve been called the "Pingy Pony" because, well, I clearly have springs for legs. I am nimble and will jump you out of trouble—and I’ll do it with style, ease, and efficiency.

I’m calm, sensible, and sensitive—the golden trifecta. I’m quick on my feet but steady in my mind, always ready to work, ready to listen, and ready to win. My rider has taken me through the ranks, from squad to state championships to competitions all over, and I’ve handled it all like a professional. Showjumping? Eventing? Dressage? Hunting? Vic Squads? PC? EA? Equitana? Done it all. Loved it. I’ve trained up through the levels with quality coaching all the way, competed with much success, and proven my worth time and time again.

I can sand dance just fine, but I really love to jump. I am careful, clever, and committed to doing my best for my rider. I jump clean, quick, and smart, and I know how to adjust for the task at hand—need a steady ride? I’ve got you. Want to shave seconds off your jump-off? Watch me turn on a dime. I make neat, effortless shapes over fences, and while I’m usually too humble to say it myself, I’m often the horse everyone is watching.

I’m what you might call a schoolmaster—I’ve had many moments in the spotlight with my rider, and now I’m ready to share that spotlight with someone new. I'm looking for my next partner to take up the reins. Whether you’re aiming for some big heights in showjumping or simply looking for a horse who knows the job and will bring out your best on the eventing scene, consider what I can offer. I have talent, trainability, and tact and a lot to give my next soulmate.

I travel like a dream (float, truck, you name it), I settle anywhere, and I am not a dramatic diva. I enjoy a fair challenge, and the occasional post-competition snack. I’m kind, polite, professional, and ready for your love and the next big adventure.

My rider is heading overseas, so it’s time for me to find my next perfect person. If you’re after a serious allrounder with brains, heart, and springs for legs, let’s talk. I promise, you won’t find another like me.

📣 The King must find a new suitor! 👑

Allow me to introduce myself—I’m King, King of the Cosmos, and let’s be honest, that’s kind of a big deal. Not just because I’m 17hh of pure athlete, but because wherever I go, I turn heads.

My blingy markings, powerful build, and stylish movement often get me mistaken for a warmblood—but I’m a 9yo unraced Thoroughbred with serious jumping talent.

I really enjoy being an athlete, and while I was a bit of a wild beast in my early days, I’m told I’m very sane, supple, and trainable these days. I just successfully completed the PCA B Certificate with my rider (though she did the written exam ;)) and that is a really big deal in the equestrian world apparently - now we are qualified to compete internationally.

Now, let’s talk about the good stuff—jumping. That’s where I come alive. Careful, scopey, and brave, I’ll give my all at whatever you point me at in the ring. I love a jump-off, I’m quick when it counts, but I can give you slow and steady if that's what you need. People often comment on my “snappy knees” and my “great back end”—and I don’t think they’re being rude (?!). If there is a way I can not touch those poles I will find it and I will get you to the other side even if I have to impersonate a pretzel. I’ve jumped up to 140 in training and come home with Champion ribbons at A Grade and Advanced HRCAV.

I competed at PCA Nationals in showjumping in 2023, been selected for State Championships in eventing and showjumping and even had a cameo at State Championships in pure dressage - all for the joy of it, not just the ribbons I earned. I’ve been going to Pony Club for yonks and have also been part of the Equestrian Victoria Eventing Squad (2020-2024) and Equestrian Victoria Showjumping Squad (Rising Stars 2020-2022). And let’s just say—I have my admirers.

Eventing? I’ll do it. I’ve competed to Grade 2/EvA95, and I’m PC Grade 1 now. I consistently train up to 2* at squad with great coaches who all say I am quite a talented lad with oodles of potential and that I “make a really nice shape’ which I learned is code for "bascule". I can gallop and jump and dance, and I have a hoard of rugs, ribbons, and rosettes from my adventures that no one quite knows what to do with.

But let’s be real—I’m here for the fences. Wide open spaces? Not my vibe - prey instincts, you know? Give me a something to think about, to do, give me a challenge and I’m with you. I don’t mind a bit of sand dancing—I like to think I look pretty fancy. My trotwork swiiiiiings, my canter is balanced, and I train to Medium level in dressage. My rider preferred eventing over pure dressage, so I humoured her—but if you ask me, my future is in showjumping if you want the prizes.

I’m a great catch - and easy... here’s the thing though—I’m not for beginners. I’m safe, but sensitive, and I need a thinking rider who’s confident, patient, and ready to bring out my best. My rider says I was a late bloomer and has been calm, patient and forgiving while I was learning (and full of myself!) and now I definitely know my job well. I’ve traveled all over the country by float and truck, and I settle in very well into strange yards or stables. I love to work, and I’m always up for a cuddle after. My feet are average so the farrier is my friend and I enjoy regular, quick pedicures to keep my toes in shape. I’ll stand all day at the float if I have food or a friend—but I really don’t like to be bored.

I am going to miss my rider terribly as she heads overseas to work with some of those British toffs, so I’m on the hunt for a new partner who will appreciate my talent and hold my heart and hoof for the next adventure.

A lot of hard work has gone into this… so thrilled, to get to the other side, and proud of King! - and be qualified for international competition. Wow! 🤩 Now to start work on the A Certificate…?!

Wow! This is so wonderful - so far we’ve raised $770 towards the memorial jump to be built in honour of Carolyn Harris! It’s going to be a great, relaxed day of jump training for a wonderful cause.

The current forecast is sane at 32 degrees not expected until late afternoon and low humidity 36% currently. Wash down area will be operational to give your horses a hose down after each round. Remember to bring your water bottle, sun hat and snacks.

All riders need to be a member of EA, PC or HRCAV or will need to sign a waiver on the day.

Great weekend at Cavalor Mansfield Horse Trials with some lovely young horses on the float and some terrific people to share it with. Hey, some might remember when Nova decided to jump the Hilux attached to the float… perhaps she thought she was at Badminton HT? 😂 Actually I recall she had jumped out of her yard first and was on her way to rescue young Bee who was having a bit of a neigh at the water jump at her first HT.

This legend came in 6th at the Australian Eventing Championships at Wandin Park International this weekend!

Still a lot to work on, but he’s so great to work with! That big scary XC did not phase him in the slightest! Improvements improvements improvements in his dressage and clear (though not always neat) Showjumping round.

Great weekend with baby horses at Wandin Park International - Australian Eventing Championships. Alles Sterensrof (Alice) was a joy to take to her biggest event yet. Wow o does Wandin turn it on, and UP! Amazing event and a favorite on our calendar!

Lovely flowing dressage from Alice, showing even more improvements in transitions and stronger canter work and today a super smooth and powerful SJ round. Her only hiccup a soft stop at the trakahner on XC in between. She finished 11th in a big field. Work to do but so much potential yet, she’s such a ripper!
