🎂 Happy National Chocolate Cake Day! 🍰 But wait—no chocolate for dogs, right? Don’t worry, we’ve got a safe, dog-friendly version that will have your pup’s tail wagging without the danger of harmful ingredients! 🐾💕

Here’s a simple Dog-Safe “Chocolate” Cake made with carob (a dog-friendly chocolate alternative) for your pup to enjoy:

Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup carob powder (safe alternative to chocolate)
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small cake pan.
In a bowl, mix together the flour and carob powder.
In another bowl, whisk together the applesauce, honey, water, oil, and egg until well combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before serving.
Optional: Top with a dog-safe frosting made from plain Greek yogurt or peanut butter!

🥧 Happy National Pie Day! 🐾🎉

Today, we're celebrating with a dog-safe pie recipe that your furry friend can enjoy too! Because who says pies are only for humans? 🐶💕

🍏 Dog-Safe Apple Pie Recipe 🍏
Ingredients:

1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup oat flour (or regular flour)
1/4 cup water
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix the applesauce, egg, melted coconut oil, and water.
Add the flours and cinnamon (if using) and stir until the dough comes together.
Roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to about 1/4 inch thick.
Use a cookie cutter or a cup to cut out small round pieces for the pie crust. You can also line a mini pie dish for a more traditional look!
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Let it cool completely before serving to your dog!
Serve a slice to your pup (small portions are best)!

Cold weather can be ruff on our furry friends, so here are a few tips to keep your pup happy and healthy this season:

🧣 Stay warm: Short-haired and smaller dogs might need a cozy sweater or jacket for walks.
🧼 Protect those paws: Snow, ice, and salt can irritate paw pads. Use booties or wipe paws after walks. If your dogs paws are looking dry, consider trying our Soft Paws Paw Balm! (Working on getting it on the website. Until then, just message us and we will ship it to you!)
💧 Hydration matters: Winter air can be dry, so make sure your pup has plenty of fresh water.
