Daphne’s ‘excellent’ rated hunt drive exam under judge Jan Nielsen.

Judge Jan had great things to say about Daphne. She sources dogs for detection work and said “this dog would be coming home with me”.

During the weekend, it was very interesting to hear from Jan about her work with detection dogs, thoughts on hunt drive, selecting dogs for the work, etc. She was a wealth of information and I look forward to speaking with her again! Thanks also to Slade and Brandon for helping run this environmental test for the dogs on Sunday.

If you’re interested in learning more about your dog’s genetic environmental strengths and sensitivities, consider entering for a BT environmental exam. This can be done independently without the obedience, though AS offers also after Jan 1, 2025 a BTX routine complete with protection testing for dogs as well!! Follow along at American Schutzhund to hear more or reach out with any questions.
