Hey there, amazing Spring Branch Rescue supporters!

We're reaching out because we're facing quite the challenge and need your heroic help once again. 🦸‍♂️🦸🏻‍♀️

With some unexpected changes in foster arrangements, we've been hit with hefty boarding bills—$120 per week per dog, and we're currently caring for six. On top of that, several of our new rescues have been diagnosed with heartworms, requiring costly treatment at $300 each, and we have five in need.

As a rescue, we rely solely on adoptions and fundraising, as we don’t receive any government grants. Unfortunately, adoptions have slowed down recently, and we're definitely feeling the strain.

You've been our saviors before, stepping up when times got tough. That's why we're reaching out now, humbly asking for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a world of difference and help us continue to cover medical bills and provide heartworm treatments. Our dedicated vets have been incredible partners, and we want to keep them on board to ensure every dog gets the love and care they deserve.

Remember, we're a registered 501C3 organization, so donations over the IRS limit will receive a Donation Receipt for tax purposes.

🐾 Dive into the world of animal rescue with us! It's not just about sheltering or saving animals; it's about building a community that cares. This week, our dynamic duo—Spring Branch Rescue Founder Kali and Mary our Houston Foster Coordinator—were in Austin at the Hotel Zaza, brainstorming with fellow rescue organizations at the Best Friends Network Austin Summit. They exchanged innovative ideas to uplift the Houston community and to help our rescue efforts.

Now, we need your voice! What services and support do you think would benefit pet owners the most? How can we make a bigger impact in a city that has an Animal Crisis? We're considering hosting a Free Community Microchip event in the Spring Branch and Richmond area, ensuring every pet is safely linked back to their owner. Plus, we're exploring offering Free Distemper/Parvo Shots to ease the burden on those struggling with vet costs.

Let me tell you Jackson’s incredible journey. A few years ago, we were called to help a dog wandering the streets of Spring Branch, looking lost and heartbroken. This poor pup was incredibly anxious and in desperate need of a friend. Thankfully, the community rallied together, and our dedicated Foster Coordinator, Annette, took him in. We named him Jackson.

The road to recovery wasn’t easy, but Jackson soon began to relax and reveal his playful, affectionate, and lively nature. To better understand his needs, we enrolled him in training sessions, which was a game-changer. However, our joy was short-lived when we discovered a malignant tumor in his leg. The aggressive cancer required immediate amputation, making Jackson our very first tripod dog.

Despite this setback, a wonderful family in Oregon stepped forward, ready to welcome Jackson into their hearts and home. After a successful cancer-free check-up, Jackson was ready to embark on his new adventure.

This entire journey was made possible by Annette, who opened her home to foster him, and by a compassionate family willing to adopt a three-legged cancer survivor. We never gave up on Jackson, despite the $7000 in medical expenses. Our mission was clear: to find Jackson the BEST home possible.

Here’s a video of Jackson’s journey. Watching it brought tears to my eyes—not out of sadness, but sheer joy that he finally found his forever home. None of this would have been achievable without your unwavering support.

FOSTER HOME NEEDED TO SAVE A RESCUE ANIMAL IN NEED TODAY.

Without animal lovers offering to care of our animals while they are posted for adoption, Spring Branch Rescue could not carry out our mission or accomplish our goals. As a foster parent, you are giving a rescue dog a new change on life! By providing a temporary home for one of our animals, you are agreeing to care for that animal for 7 days or longer.

Do you want to be part of a solution in a city with an animal crisis???? We could really use your help. Let's work together to make a difference. Together we can do this.

If you are an animal lover, then you can be a foster parent. Similar to our adoption procedure, a separate Foster Home application and screening process is required. You will need to fill out our foster application. One of our Coordinators will contact you soon.

No experience necessary. We will provide everything needed to make this work. Our adoptable rescue cats & dogs will benefit from your love and care.

What a successful Sunday! We want to say thank you to the amazing Kendra Scott team for being so helpful today & for supporting our RESCUE efforts. Our Foster Coordinators had a blast at the Sugarland, City Center, and Pasadena locations. Everyone that stopped by fell madly in LOVE with our Spring Branch Rescue adoptables.

The best part today was having an opportunity to educate the younger generation about fostering and the importance of taking care of those without voices. We met some really cool people and hopefully will get some adopters or fosters.

Hello friends,

Last week was a whirlwind of emotions for all of us. We found a foster for Daenerys, who heard about our emergency, and became actively involved in her search. She quickly fell in love with Daenerys and wanted to adopt her. Their connection was incredible, and they are now madly in love with each other.

At the same time, Michelle, who has been their foster mom since they were tiny pups, had to pick up Joffrey’s ashes and paw print from the vet. It was a heart-wrenching moment for all of us, but we are comforted knowing he’s finally back with us at Spring Branch Rescue

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible heroes who joined our search, the generous donors who came to our aid just when we needed it (you know who you are). To the devoted animal lovers who ventured out late that night and found her, and who did it purely out of love for animals, refusing any reward—our deepest gratitude goes out to all of you.

Thank you once again to our super awesome Spring Branch Rescue foster team and all of you for your unwavering support during this very difficult time.
