Sorry for the lack of content everyone I’ve been super busy with college and training and haven’t had a lot of time for social media. I’m happy to say Fiadh will be returning to the UKC conformation ring this year as well as starting her career in weight pull! If you’re in New England keep an eye out for us at UKC trials and if you see us feel free to say hi!

Another successful weekend! Fiadh brought home 4 first in class, 4 best female, and 4 best of breed ribbons. She also brought home her first competition wins, a group 3 and a group 4. She only needs one more competition win to finish her UKC CH. I am so proud of this little dog.

This past weekend Fiadh had her debut in UKC conformation. Four shows over two days while in season and she didn’t miss a beat. Being around people and dogs of all shapes and sizes, multiple judges going over her, and at one point a dog even going after her, and Fiadh didn’t miss a beat. She got great feedback from the judges and brought home 4 first in class, 4 best female, and 2 best of breeds and 60 points towards her CH. Not bad for her (and my) first weekend out!

This dog is everything to me. I’m so happy to share my life with her. Happy birthday to the best thing that’s ever happened to me, the blood sweat and tears have been worth it to see the dog you’re becoming.

Worked on stacking the demon baby today. I can’t believe she’s almost a year old! It feels like just yesterday I drove down to Boston to pick her up from the airport.

I’ve never met a dog as naturally athletic as Fiadh. At ten months she’s ripped without any specific conditioning and this is with only one heat under her belt. Also includes a failed stack picture where she decided roaching was fun and it started raining before we could redo.

My mom lost her ring in a bully stick container at a store two days ago and we went back yesterday with Fiadh (Roxi/Nico) to see if we could find it or if someone had turned it in,

Fiadh was really sniffing the container but not grabbing one like she usually did (she can be a bit of a thief, we're working on it) so even though she didn't think she was going to find it my mom looked closer at the bin and ended up looking underneath the rack and it was there. I'm not sure if she smelled the ring itself or just smelled where mom had been handling them the day before but either way we wouldn't have found it without her.
She has a fan club in the workers at that store now. She also got a new toy out of it.

Some of you may have noticed the change in this accounts bio but I’m happy to officially announce that Fiadh is now Fiadh von Cluskey TKN! It’s not an important title but it’s the first title I’ve ever put on a dog and her first title so it’s special.

Fiadh learning to do the show dog things! We attended her first handling class yesterday along with White Rabbit’s Hatter and Fiadh did amazing! Even after a two hour car ride she came out of her crate ready to go and was offering amazing engagement throughout our class, which given it’s her third time around other dogs is a feat in itself. Please excuse the quality of the videos my mom isn’t the best with her phone.

We took my mom out to eat for Mother’s Day and since we were going to be sitting outside I brought Fiadh along. There were people constantly going by, kids running around, cars and motorcycles going by, and none of them phased her. She was content to lay with me and my family while we ate. Having a stable dog who can go from playing hard one day to chilling the next is what having a well bred Shepherd should be like.

Fiadh had her first trip to the today! It was an awesome opportunity to work on her engagement around people and dogs and she rocked it.

This dog has no fear whatsoever. I asked my other dog to put his paws up on the mulch for some confidence building and Fiadh had to take it a step further and go all the way up on the bags and proceeded to lay down. I love how environmentally sound she is even with the bags shifting under her she was content.

I’m so happy to announce that Fiadh’s embark results came back and she was clear for all genetic conditions that they test for including these Shepherd specific ones. She also carries for long coat which is cool to know, and she has a genetic COI of 32%.

This dog has never found anything she will not pick up. Some highlights include an 8 foot board, a wrench, a coffee can full of five pounds of coins, several water bowls, and several logs that were meant for the wood stove.

Fiadh got introduced to sheep today. She showed some interest but wasn’t hyper fixated and while she jumped once or twice at first she bounced right back without hesitation. She also had a stare down with my friends ram through the gate and won. She also gave no issues with leaving the pen when asked (even if she had to grab some hay for the trip 🙄). Fiadh also helped me catch the ducks when they got loose today she pushed them right into the coop and held them there with pressure as needed while they were grabbed. Even when the drake decided to posture and charge her she held her ground.
