Nubby Noreen has been with us for 152 days, and we have no idea why she hasn’t been adopted yet ☹️ She is unbelieveably sweet and gets along with everyone at adoption center, but she’s always looked over. She even gets along with cats with proper introduction!Noreen was brought to us by her caretakers at an apartment complex. We suspect she was dumped by someone there because she is so friendly to everyone. One day, a caretaker noticed she had a broken tail, so she was brought to us. We determined that we could’t save it, so we had it amputated and got her fixed. Now, she’s ready for adoption! 📍 San Diego, CA. Merovingian (AKA Old Man) is THE BEST cat in the world. He would do well in just about ANY house because he is so amazing. He probably even knows the secret to world peace. Merovingian loves attention, people, and also gets along with other cats and well behaved dogs! If there was a friendly foster cat who needed a foster home, Merovingian would welcome them with open paws and become friends very quickly, and he especially loved kittens. He’s definitely a lap cat and likes playing with his favorite wand toys. Don’t let his age fool you—his age doesn’t slow him down AT ALL especially when it comes to play time! A perfect home for him would be with one where you allow him to sit on your lap and brush his magnificent fur alllll day and tell him he’s the best boy ever. Merovingian was found wandering a neighborhood in San Diego extremely skinny and dirty, but he was so friendly. We found that his mouth had a serious infection called stomatitis which made eating extremely painful. If left untreated, he wouldn’t have made it because he wasn’t eating. Over the course of a few months, we were able to get all of his teeth extracted. Now, he’s no longer in pain and he’s fat and happy! He eats wet AND dry food easily. As a bonus, you don’t have to worry about getting bitten by him (not that he would because he’s so perfect). Animal advocate and rescuer Armineh Shaghzo was informed in May 2024 of a feral family of kittens in Van Nuys who needed help. They were living off a very busy intersection in a medical complex parking lot, and she had seen coyotes in the area while trapping. It took her and a friend some careful maneuvering to trap them all, but they finally did! The entire family was feral, but she was determined that she could socialize the kittens so they could be adoptable. The whole family was fixed and Armineh spent a lot of the time with the kittens. After months of loving perseverance, all of the kittens were socialized, loved people, and were ready for adoption!All of Bixby’s siblings were adopted but he’s the last one left 😢 He can’t wait for his forever home!
