Hollywood has been on a spell for about a month, since work and other responsibilities keep cropping up. However we hopped on yesterday and had a play about.
A very fat, and unfit, Holly did his best to do as asked. For a 4yo stallion on full feed, and a month off, we're pretty happy with his responsiveness and flexibility.
Hoof trim day for Hollywood.
I like to take my time and muck about, making sure that Holly has the patience to stand without fidgeting and fussing.
This young stallion is just a delight to be around. He would never admit it, but he's an absolute sook.

An impromptu little clinic, learning about introducing cattle and fostering a desire to track and chase.
Hollywood certainly has that instinct, several times he had to be held back from getting too excited. Enjoy this compilation of his progression over the evening, from first learning to follow, to having a few slow cut outs and runs.
A bit rough and ready in some spots, as I don't have much experience cutting cattle either, but inspite of that, it's a promising start for young Hollywood.

Enjoying the last of the time off in the summer mountain pastures. Brought him for a routine hoof trim, feeling a bit fresh and full of beans, but a perfect gentleman as soon as the halter goes on.
Hollywood will be returning to work in late Feb to continue his riding career.
This year is all about exposure and new experiences. Whether it's clinics, shows, training days, trail rides with friends, trying new disciplines like dressage, polocrosse, working equitation, or campdrafting, we have no doubt Hollywood will give 100% and turn heads doing so.
