Here's a list of fruit seeds that are toxic to parrots:

1. Apple seeds: Contain amygdalin, which releases cyanide when ingested.

2. Apricot kernels: Also contain amygdalin, releasing cyanide.

3. Cherry pits: Contain amygdalin, toxic to parrots.

4. Peach pits: Similar to apricot kernels, they contain amygdalin.

5. Pear fruit + seeds (Avocado) : May contain small amounts of cyanide compounds. AVOID THIS FRUIT TOTALLY.

6. Plum pits: Contain amygdalin, potentially toxic.

7. Tomato seeds: Can cause irritation of digestive system. Avoid as well.

8. Grape seeds and Citrus seed. Can be bitter and cause mildly irritating. Avoiding is safe.

When offering fruits to your parrot, be sure to:

- Remove seeds and pits.
- Wash fruits thoroughly.
- Introduce new fruits gradually.
- Consult a veterinarian for personalized dietary advice.

Keep your feathered friend safe and healthy!

Golden Conure parrots or Queen of Bavaria Conure also known as Golden Parakeets are spectacular pets. Very beautiful and affectionate. Being quite intelligent makes them easy to tame and train. They can be good talkers, but like many of the Aratinga conures they can also be very loud. We love Golden

This post's is to educate and intrigue parrot enthusiasts while highlighting the fascinating characteristics and abilities of these intelligent birds.

Ensure your bird sleeps well, establish a consistent bedtime routine, provide a dark and quiet environment by covering their cage with a cloth, place the cage in a low-traffic area, avoid loud noises near bedtime, and consider using a white noise machine to mask other sounds; also, maintain a regular light cycle to signal day and night, and if necessary, move the cage to a separate "sleep room" for maximum tranquility.

Five African grey parrots at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park had to be separated after they began swearing at visitors and laughing about it together. Named Billy, Elsie, Eric, Jade, and Tyson, the birds were initially quarantined as a group after being adopted—and that’s apparently when the foul-mouthed mischief started.

Once they joined the park’s larger colony of 200 parrots, they began encouraging each other to curse, often triggering laughter among themselves and from stunned guests. To stop the behavior from spreading—and to avoid upsetting families with children—the park decided to split the group up and place them in separate enclosures.
