Adorable Fannie is ready to meet her forever family. Much like her sister Saphira, she is looking for a loving home worthy of her loyal, clever and joyful personality. Must enjoy playing fetch, learning together, spending time outside exploring…followed by cuddles!
Fannie is an 8 month old Border Collie/ Kelpie cross who came into rescue from Alberta where her rescue worker had a heart attack and was no longer able to work. Fannie is super lovable, playful and sweet. She would do well in a home with another playful dog or a family that is always up for some fun and adventures! Meet R***r. This is one special fella that is looking for a new foster home, willing to work with him to take him to the next level, or a committed adopter also willing to give him time and work with him. He is lovely and gentle but still so unsure. Here is what his current foster has to say:
"I have been fostering R***r for the past three months. In that time R***r has slowly progressed in gaining confidence and getting more comfortable around humans. He still has a way to go though and could benefit from additional help.
R***r is 11 months old and has been neutered. He is getting more comfortable in his current surroundings and the puppy that he is is coming out and wanting to play more. Unfortunately, my resident dogs are not interested or suited to play with R***r in the way that would be of benefit to him. I think he would benefit greatly from a confident dog that can match his energy and take him under their wing in learning to be comfortable and confident in a family setting.
R***r is a bit of a flight risk (largely in unfamiliar or uncertain situations) so he will need to go somewhere with a fenced yard. He has never shown any aggression toward humans or dogs. He is a very submissive and sweet guy.
He is skittish and needs slower movements and a family with patience for him to progress at his own pace. He has been exposed to children with no issues and actually seems to be more comfortable around children than adults.
There is a lot of potential for R***r to be an amazing companion and family dog, he just needs reassurance. This is something where I feel he will benefit greatly from a situation where he has a canine companion to show him the ropes. He will also benefit from an active family that can show him he belongs."

Meet Josiah!
Josiah is a handsome approx 2 year old Border Collie. Josiah came to us as an unclaimed stray with Lyme disease. He was treated and will be retested in 6 months ( included in the adoption fee).
Josiah has been settling into his foster home really well! He is crate trained and does well in his crate when home alone. He is in foster with 2 other dogs and gets along well. He is respectful of them as they are older. He is a goofy, loving and submissive boy who loves other dogs, people and children. He has met cats and kittens, he was interested but did not pursue them. Dog savvy cats are recommended for him in his forever home. Josiah is getting used to city life and all the different noises. He is improving with more exposure but is still quite scared of motorcycles, loud vehicles and w**d whackers. He’s getting better on his leash walking but still needs work. He loves to run beside a bike that has an attachment to hook his harness to. You hardly need to peddle! He entertains himself in the yard with toys and runs around looking for birds, squirrels and rabbits. He loves car rides and would make a good road trip partner. I will require a securely fenced yard as I do have wildlife prey drive and will run to chase.
Josiah would do well in an active family that would include him in their activities. He would do great with another dog. He has done fantastic going to pet stores, Home Depot, etc Josiah is scheduled to be neutered September 3rd

URGENT. Can you be a hero to one of these pups? We don't know a lot about them at this time, have been told they are good with other dogs, lots of puppy behavior so they will need help with manners. Good with the people they have met. Have been okay with cats they have met.

We are looking for brand new items (or never used) maybe you got a gift that just wasn't right for you but could be right for someone else. Hi! My name is Artie and I'm an adorable approx 2 year old fella who is ready to meet my forever family. I'm most likely a mix between poodle and terrier, maybe even some Maltese. I am up to date on my vetting, including neutered and on heartworm and tick prevention. I am doing really good in my foster home, learning all about this fun life of being a furry companion. I am doing well with housebreaking, learning manners and crate training. I get along great with the other pup and kitty in my foster home and I love, LOVE, my foster mom and dad! I love people and getting all the attention. I do have some anxiety which is being worked on. I need to learn that my people come back and I'm safe waiting in my crate until they do. Right now I am not left alone for long periods of time so my perfect forever home would be someone who is home a lot. Maybe you're retired or work from home? That would be great! I am also an active little guy and love going for walks and exploring. I would love someone who is dedicated to keeping me active as it does help with anxiety too! I am so excited to start my adoption trial!!
My name is Carlos and my name has a lot of meaning. It stands for “Free Man” in Spanish. You see, I was slated for euthanasia in the pound up North. I’m so grateful I was saved from that by Hulls Haven and my foster parents. So now I live my life being happy all the time and appreciate so much my time with every human I meet,other dogs and even cats. I hate to brag, but I’m probably the best dog you’ll ever meet. I’m very affectionate, very well behaved, and I’m super smart. I know all basic commands, I’m house trained and crate trained, I even go in my kennel on my own. I walk like a pro on leash, I adore car rides, watch the scenery for a bit then snooze. I sleep all night without a peep. I don’t remember when I was born but the vet thinks I’m between 1 1/2 - 2 years old. I love little kids, am good with cats although I’d probably be better in a home without them so I can direct my focus on other activities. I play ball a bit but would love someone to teach me other outdoor games. Oh ya! I don’t bark, haven’t barked once in the two weeks I’ve been in my foster home. I’m just an all round great loving guy. Somehow I was injured at the pound, requiring some stitches on my beautiful face but I’m healing very well. So I’m ready to meet my forever family, I promise you’ll find me to be the most amazing boy ever. Love from Carlos.

It's Auction Time! We are having a special "Christmas in July" and many other great items auction! Funds raised for this auction support the food and vet costs of our foster dogs. Due to summer scheduling this auction will be live a little longer than normal and will close Wed, July 10th at 8:00pm.

HAPPY TAIL ALERT!! This fun guy is Myles, formerly known as Tank. Myles was saved by our good friend Tracy from @earthdogterrierrescue back in April of this year. She asked if we had room for a single puppy and when our executive director saw his picture she was instantly smitten. He was welcomed into care that day. It's puppy time! Today we are featuring the race between Apollo and his sister Artemis. They have been training for a week in preparation for the 13 foot marathon. Artemis was ready to go at the door but Apollo sneakily grabbed an unfair lead! Foot marker 4, Artemis takes the lead, all she has to do is circle back for the win! We received a fabulous update on our sweet girl Salamet, formerly Maggie. Maggie was rescued by the wonderful Marie and she is currently in the care of Glenboro Veterinary Clinic waiting for her amputation surgery, scheduled for tomorrow. She is in great spirits and enjoyed the visit today with Marie and Bob. To quote Marie "Bob and I have just had a visit with her - had her outside for a half hour or so. She's much better! Wanting affection, interested in her surroundings, wagging her tail.".
