Rough day in our house today. Our 6 1/2 year old, goofy, 70 lbs, lapdog, Aussie Doodle Tarkin crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today. We took him to the vet early this week because he was looking thin. We found out he had lost 1/3 his body weight. After some testing we learned he his kidneys were failing. We had to go out of town and we left him in the care of the Vet. They called us yesterday and said they didn’t think he was going to be able to come back from the damage to his kidneys. We had to say goodbye to him today. We are heartbroken. He was Jamie’s service dog and has left a huge hole in our hearts. We miss him sooo much already.

We get asked all the time what we feed our pups (and adult dogs). We have used Avoderm for at least 20 years. We had a Cocker Spaniel who had food allergies and the vet recommended this food. Our dogs coats are soft and shiny. The food is avocado based and we recommend it highly. It isn’t cheap but it is healthy and they love it.

We surprised our grand kids with a puppy tonight. They have been coming over playing with them since birth and we did not tell them they were getting one (mom and dad knew). Our 8 year old grand daughter cried. It was an amazing moment for us. We wish we would have filmed it, but it was even better being in the moment. They have chosen the name “Violet” which was the name we gave her (collar color she had).
