Hi everyone. Please be aware that from 20th Jan there will be road works to add a crossing on Oldham Road just past the Oldham Road/Townley St junction. Works will to last till Apr and is expected to cause delays 🫣☺️
This Monday (20th January) sees the start of work on a major new crossing facility in Oldham Road, Middleton at its junction with Taylor Street.
This new toucan crossing is the second of five new crossings we will be installing across the borough this year using funding from Bee Network. The new crossing will significantly improve safety in this popular area close to Middleton town centre and Middleton Technology School.
Work to install the new crossing is expected to complete in April and temporary traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the works, so please leave extra time for your journeys.
