Never stop working toward the dog of your dreams

Every day you can make a choice to train your dog.

People with dream dogs didn't get their by chance. They make training a priority and work toward their goals.

You can do it. I know you can. The path won't all be linear, there will be pitfalls and adolescences to deal with, but I believe in you and your dog.

If you'd like my help working toward the dog of your dreams, send me a message!

Would you like to know the top 3 mistakes I made training my own dogs when I was just learning about training? Before I ever dreamed of becoming a professional trainer?

1) I wasn't consistent. Consistentcy is key in so much of life, and dog training is no exception.

2) I wasn't clear. I was especially bad about this when training my childhood dogs, I wouldn't clearly communicate what I wanted my poor dog, Barney.

3) I didn't have use a marker or clicker. Training goes significantly faster when you use a clicker, or at least a marker word.

Let me know in the comments what mistakes you've made!

Are your kids home alone after school with a rowdy dog? Are you nervous about that? Do you worry because the dog won’t listen to the kids—even though he might listen to you or your spouse?

Have you thought about dog training but aren’t sure if it’ll get Fido to listen to your kids?

Well what if it could? What if there were a dog trainer who was not just fluent in Dog, but in Kid?

Imagine not worrying when you’re at work and your children and dog are home together after school.

That’s where I come in. With over a decade of experience working with kids, I can bring them into the training session and make your family and dog go from Frustrated to Family.

I have a few spots left on my calander in January for dog training, both where we work together to train your dog and where I do it for you. Since I'd really like to go into 2024 with a full case load, I'm offering a promotion.

$100 off training where we do it together (Frustrated to Family package) or $150 off training where I do it for you (Homewrecker to Harmony package) if you sign up before January 1st.

To make this possible I've opened time in my schedule for Discovery calls. If you don't see a time that works for you. Let me know.

Hey everyone, if you think it’s too late to do any dog training in preparation for guests tomorrow, you’re probably right. But luckily I have four quick tips for you all on how to keep things as calm as possible.

1. Keep your dog’s routine as normal as possible. Dogs are creatures of habit and thrive on routine. Keeping their daily walk, playtime and feeding times the same will help keep them happy and content.

2. Give your dog a safe space. Create a space in a quiet, dark room where your pup can go to feel secure and de-stress if the festivities become too overwhelming. Fill the space with familiar items such as toys and blankets and ensure your pup knows the space is his alone.

3. Educate your guests. If you’re expecting visitors, make sure they’re aware of your dog’s needs. Explain any boundaries or signs of stress to look out for and any quirks your dog may have.

4. Provide plenty of enrichment activities. Stimulating activities such as games and puzzles can help keep your pup happy and calm.
