🥁ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Remember back in November when we posted Houdini looking sooo cute with a pumpkin in hopes of finding him his forever family, and it worked?!

Houdi is now officially adopted and bonded with bunwife Theo. Their parents worked super hard on strengthening this bond for months, and it all paid off in the end! These two sweet buns are so much happier together!

Both of these bunnies went from dumped outside to spoiled free roam indoor buns. We wish every rabbit could have this happy ending.

Goldie is the absolute most gorgeous and friendly girl. It’s hard to capture how beautiful her fur is on camera, but everyone who meets her immediately comments about how soft and lush it is.

Goldie came to us as a singleton baby and was hand raised by fosters, so she loves to spend time with her family. She is a friendly girl and would also love a bondmate.

ADOPTABLE

Meet Marshmallow and Poppy, the squishiest pair. You may recognize Marshmallow. We pulled him off death row from a local shelter about two years ago. He underwent entropion surgery and of course, a neuter. He was then adopted to bond with Poppy, his former guardian’s sweet lionhead girl. Their bond worked out great. Their home—not so well 😭

These two cuties are now at the rescue and looking for a safe place to land. Their ideal home would appreciate a sweet bonded pair who adore each other and can soak up the love from humans.

They’re currently on a bit of a diet, which nobunny is happy about. You’ll have to be able to resist two adorable little furry beggars who would always like more treatos.

Settle in for a long one 🙃

We are truly experiencing an epidemic of adopters returning pairs to us. Most of the bonded pairs were not even both our buns originally—one of the pair was adopted from us to bond to their existing bun. Since we will never separate bonded pairs, we are then in the predicament of finding fosters, space, and funding for double the animals we started with.

We are thankful these adopters are reaching out to us and sending the bunnies back to us, because we want to be able to screen potential homes and make sure they are going to another safe space, but it’s causing a huge strain on our rescue. Most people already have a bun at home who they want to bond and can/will not consider a bonded pair. Many of our bonded pairs spend an average of TWO YEARS with us before finding forever homes. We have been having having a good number of adoptions recently, but we still have no space to help new bunnies due to returns on adoptions from years ago.

We are heartbroken for these buns and exhausted from this cycle, so we ask you to please consider adopting a bonded pair.

Pictured here are bunnies Cinder and Shadow. They were our very first adoption ever, and now have been back in foster care for a few months. They are cute, sweet, silly and happy boys who need their new hooms!

Our gorgeous blue eyed girl, Gravy, is in search of her forever home, and she’s been waiting TWO YEARS. Gravy can be a spicy , but she’s also a sweet girl who does well with the mini hoom and small dog in her foster home. Gravy is one of our buns who would do well with or without a bondmate as long as her humans are willing to give her lots of love and attention. 🥁ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Marilyn (left) has been adopted for awhile, but she’s now fully bonded with another bun who was previously adopted from us, Apollo.

Marilyn came to us from the fentanyl hoarding case as a tiny baby on the brink of death. She was covered in urine and f***s and already experiencing issues from her megacolon, which is now well managed.

Her mom knew pretty quickly that she probably would never be leaving due to her special needs, and she knew Apollo needed a buddy. We are so happy these two worked out and that Marilyn has a forever home where her special needs are taken seriously 🤍🐇

Introducing Roxy!

A month or so ago, we received an email about a bunny who had been caught after being spotted outside for THREE YEARS. The finder said she was emaciated, too matted to be able to potty, and had a hurt leg. We haven’t received any new foster apps in a really long time, but despite having few options to help, we knew we had to make it work.

When Roxy arrived to rescue, we found that she had severely sore hocks with open wounds on both legs. She was also half (or less) of the weight she needed to be. Despite all of this, Roxy still trusted humans and wanted affection.

Some of our amazing fosters have been caring for Roxy including giving her daily foot soaks, antibiotics, pain meds, and keeping her booties on and refreshed. We can’t wait to update you on her progress.

We sent Roxy in for X-rays, bloodwork, and e Cuniculi testing as soon as we took her in. We’ve already spent $600 and will be spending at least another $800 for her spay, rechecks and vaccines. Please help us pay for Roxy’s ongoing care.

🥁ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Floofy found his bunwife and forever home!

We’ve had several applications for Floofy, but none of them have ever seemed quite right until now. Eloise and her pawrents just moved to Utah, had already gotten established with our exotic vet, and were ready to find her a husbun.

Eloise and Floofy just clicked on their first date and were pretty much bonded from there. They adore each other and share their toys, food, and favorite spots. We know Floofy is as adored and spoiled as we hoped for him to be, and we are thrilled that he found the bunwife he’s been dreaming of 🥰

We're celebrating Valentine's Day AND Equality by launching our new fundraiser design, featuring Sunset and Rainbow Brite, affectionately known as "The Tilty Girls."

We saved these two from the fentanyl hoarding case. They had severe and untreated E. Cuniculi. Luckily, they're now back to perfect health and thriving. The girls can do everything a "normal" bunny can do; their viewpoint just looks a little different!

At True Hearts for Healing Paw, we truly believe love is for "everybun." Every person (and animal) deserves the chance to love openly and honestly, without fear of ridicule or oppression.

🚨FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED🚨

Violet needs to come back to our rescue asap. She was adopted almost three years ago, and her family no longer has time for her. She’s in great health and has never had a bondmate, so we are looking at this as a brand new opportunity for this cutie. Noel attended her first meet and greet last night and did so well with everybun! She is the sweetest girl. She also loves to give kisses to the hooms, pictured here. Hi, True Hearts fam! We are in desperate need of new foster homes. Everything has basically ground to a halt without new fosters or adopters. What hasn’t halted is the number of requests we’re getting to help new rabbits daily.

Can you open a small part of your home and a large part of your heart to help a bunny in need? Our rescue isn’t a rescue without the help of our community.

In a sad twist of fate, Linus and Georgie are back with our rescue. Georgie was previously adopted from us to bond with Linus, and they’ve been together for more than a year now. People have a lot of reasons to return their animals, and we don’t give credit to most of them, though we are always glad to take our animals back. These two are back for a very valid reason and through no fault of their own.

Linus and Georgie are some of the sweetest and most gentle rabbits I’ve ever met. Linus is 10 years old and has lived in the same home since he was a baby til now. We rescued Georgie from a local shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized, and the two were an instant love match.

Linus and Georgie love nothing more than their little sofa and ottoman and can often be found there napping. They have lived with cats and dogs their whole lives and do wonderfully, as long as the other animals are bun savvy. We would love to see these two find a new home to settle into asap!
