The handlers tonight worked their dogs so well! We did basic commands which consists of sit, down, stand, wait, stay and send to their bed.

I took my little rascal to a fun scent competition and he got 2 firsts and a second. He loves to use his nose and it's so fun to watch him work!

A couple of videos from last night. Recall week. One of my favourites to teach and super important. The gorgeous Poodle returning to a game of tug with his owner and the handsome Boxer returning for food. Make it fun and the reward high! Great work!

I improvise a little to keep his brain occupied when waiting for a go at training.
Using his lead handle to put over his nose or holding it with no mouthing. He does make me laugh! 🥰

When the wind blows your crazy ears 😆. Spot the spaniel too. Adding distance to waits and stays helps keep him calm and great for his training to watch me but not be too close and needy 🐶🐾💙

Monday evening was greeting other people and dogs nicely. Some dogs were super excited so we worked very hard for the hour in calming techniques and then being allowed to say hi when instructed and then calling away before it got too much. This is me greeting one of the pups attending. So cute 😍.

Something slightly different today when I was asked to go to our local dog day care centre to tell some work experience students from year 10 all about what I do, how I do it, why I do it and how I got into dog training.
It was nice to do something different and hopefully it helped them to decide what they want to do in the future 🐶🐾💙💜

I took the opportunity to go to training with my own dog today and it worked his brain so well he was sound asleep 5 minutes after getting home. Win, win with a crazy spaniel 😆.

Last night we covered basic commands which incudes sit, down, stand, wait, stay and send to bed. These guys did a great job and their doggies did some great work too 👏 🥰

After a one to one at my field, the owners of these gorgeous doggies needed some more help at home so I could see what was happening. They were a little crazy when visitors came and jumping up at the worktops. With some gentle guidance and lots of tips this beautiful pair soon got the hang of what to do and I'm sure will now be on best behaviour when visitors arrive and food is around. Great work 👏 🥰 x

This little puppy 🐶 😍. The little hop forward in excitement to get to their Dad🤩. By restraining safely it builds the excitement to get to their owner quicker. This little one soon got the hang of it!

Awesome work from this couple with their puppy throughout the course. This recall is amazing and with their permission I've added it below. Practicing regularly and with lots of positive reinforcement you get great results 🤩. She has learnt that 'legs' gets her to a safe place and a high value treat! They said - Just also wanted to say thank you for your help over the last 6 weeks, Dottie has learnt so much and really enjoyed herself. Hopefully we will see you in the future for some other classes x
