Last week I helped out with the release of 4 seals from Mallydams wildlife rescue.
As well as cat sitting, I am also a Marine Mammal medic with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue and also volunteer at Mallydams

We recently spent some time over in Ireland looking after a dog, cat and the house whilst the owners went to the States

Enjoyed the fantastic views from Tara Hill whilst we were over there

Yesterday we officially adopted Mr Cheeks, a stray whos been coming into the garden for a while. He had a nasty absess which clearly hadn't been treated, which I've been monitoring for a while. (Picture in comments)
I managed to get him into a crate yesterday and took him to MojoVets (excellent service btw) to get him scanned for a chip and the wound checked out.
He wasn't chipped and as I hadn't had any response to Facebook posts looking for an owner, we decided to take responsibility for him ourselves. I felt it was right to bring him back here to where he came from. Hes now been neutered and chipped, and the vets has said the wound will heal up 😊🐈

2 of our current charges. We were up and out early this morning to feed and water these two, and also look after the 3 hens and fish that also live in this house

We have been all over the British Isles house and pet sitting since 2021.
The republic of Ireland, Scotland, the Cotswolds, Bournemouth and the Lake District, plus others closer to home

During that time I've cared for lots of cats (9 at one house), chickens, rabbits and some dogs.
I've administed medication, dealt with leaking roofs, taken parcels and generally kept the houses and pets safe, with a lot of fun along the way

Meet Watson, one of my favorite cats to look after. I've known Watty and her owner for many years now.
Watty is diabetic and requires Insulin injections twice a day to be timed around her meals, something which I am happy to administer

Sometimes it's good to give something back...

Today I volunteered at RSPCA Mallydams, a local wildlife rehab center, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I sorted out a bigger pen for the fox cubs and learnt about feeding the birds
