We had a fantastic day at APHS Northern Counties yesterday, picking up qualifications for APHS national finals & the Sunshine Tour ☀️❤️

First show of the year booked 🥳☑️

We’re off to APHS Northern Counties in April, it will be Astryd’s second ever show and by far the biggest she’s ever done 🫣 so excited though, I can’t wait to see how she does and also to see lots of other foreign breeds in one place! ❤️

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here! 🫣

I’m home from uni for Christmas, and Astryd has grown a lot 😁 very excitingly we now have an arena on our yard, meaning I can start doing a bit more work with her over the winter, building up her muscles ready to be ridden next year. She’s currently enjoying coming in at night temporarily to escape the snow, although she very much looks like a bog pony most of the time as she is wintering out this year ❄️ hopefully I’ll keep this page more updating now I can work her! 🤞

Now is probably a good time to update this page!

Astryd moved back home in May, to live out and enjoy being a horse. She went to her first show a few weeks ago, where she behaved so well and earned a 1st in the youngstock, and another 1st in the foreign breeds. The judge was very complementary of her and said she was a great example of the breed (!!)

I receive my a-level results on Thursday 😳 and all being well should hopefully be off to uni in September/October, when my mum (aka Super Groom) will be taking over from me and looking after Astryd.

Already starting to look at 2023 and making loose plans for Astryd, I can’t wait to see the horse she turns into 😊

Easter weekend spent well ❤️

We took both horses down to Monnington for the BMHS Easter Clinic with Mike & Dwayne from Broadmoor Morgan Horses in America 🇺🇸

Both me and the horses learnt loads - including Astryd being ridden for the first time!! 🥳🎉

Bailey & I also won the Easter Bonnet competition (costume credits to my mum as always 😉) and we came home with a 3rd and 4th in his ridden show classes, and Astryd came home with a 2nd from her first ever show ❤️

As always I’ve loved being down there and can’t wait for the next time we get to visit 😁🐴

Lady A (Astryd) is home!!

She was so un-phased by the whole ordeal, despite being two years old and never travelled alone before! I can’t wait for our adventures together, she is so so brave!
