Muddyvalley Enchanted was weaned from her kids yesterday. She had lost more weight than I would have liked her to. So she is now in the VIP driveway with her best friend Muddyvalley Paintedgun.

I don't get enough time to make cheese, so today I decided to make it my priority. Feta for today and hopefully some haloumi tomorrow.

The four does have had their laproscopic AI procedures and now we wait. They all handled it like champs thanks to the team at ABS not called that anymore but I will keep calling them ABS. Professional and quick girls were up and about in no time.

Tomorrow is laproscopic AI day.
4 of our does will be recipients of 4 different 100% buck semen.
These girls are not normally in the limelight but none the less very important to our breeding program.
No food for them now until after their procedure at lunchtime tomorrow.
Stable has been power washed and sprayed with virkon and left to dry out. Fingers crossed for the 4 does!

Back by popular demand, we will be offering our cheesemaking classes again starting next month. The first of the Autumn classes, will be an introductory demonstration of four popular cheeses: Queso Fresco, Mascarpone, Feta and Camembert.

The class will be held at Sheffield Town Hall, 13 April, 2-5pm. It will be limited to 10 people. Country Calendar will be there shooting on the day as well, and have advised us to let people know that they may appear on the program.

Please email your interest to [email protected], as that is the most reliable way for me to register your interest.

The course includes coffee/tea and nibbles, a goat cheese tasting featuring 10 of our cheeses, as well as a cheesy sweet & savory dish. The cost is $90.
