“Forth Eorlingas” an epic scene from The Lord of The Rings.

Something very different from my usual portraiture. This was a rather large painting created in acrylics. I tried to create the ‘moodiness’ in the sky to depict exactly how epic this part of the story is. Along with the beautiful music that accompanies this film it really is quite moving.

Jaguar XJ6 3.4 litre

I have love love loved drawing this beautiful car over the summer. I love the colour and style. It was an absolute pleasure. As I said to the client “it was refreshing to draw smoooooth rather than fur!” 🤣

And the building behind is of great provenance too.

Bamboo

The hours spent on this one were more than I dare to add up. I really enjoyed every part of this beaut. He was a challenge and therefore, one of the most rewarding.

🍫 my favourite of all doggies are Labradors. Especially if they are choccy!

What I especially loved about this portrait is the lighting under his chin giving off a purplish glow. I used such a vast range of colours on this one, sheer fun to create.

A rather handsome fellow. Black dogs are particularly tricky to capture due to them not having any colour, a lot of the depth and tones comes from reflection and lighting on the beautiful soft silky coat.

🐾Rusty🐾 full brother to my own Cocker Mabel. I think if I was a dog I would be a spaniel. 😂

This handsome chap was commissioned as a anniversary present. There’s something rather lovely about that.

I’ve been so quiet on the World Wide Web recently, I’ve been working hard on taming my two feral children over the summer so that they maintain a level of normal when school is back. - of course I failed 😂

In other news I will be releasing my plans in the lead up to Christmas so keep an eye out for news on this!

I can finally share 🎉

This is a portrait of Hon Mark Maffey Prime Warden of The Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

It was commissioned to commemorate his year as Prime Warden which comes to a close later this week. And what a years it’s been! This amazing human has, in his words “said yes to everything because you only live once and Covid halted so much in recent years, I wanted to make the difference”

I had the honour of attending a dinner at Saddlers’ Hall in London at the weekend celebrate his year and present the portrait. It was a fantastic evening with the best company.

Mark I hope I have done a good enough job and congratulations on an outstanding year.

🇬🇧Did you see it? 🇬🇧One of the very rare and beautiful Lancaster Bombers that flew over London today to commemorate the Queens reign on the thrown! Happy Platty Jubes Ma’am. Accompanied, I think, by spitfires and hurricanes- my son would probably correct me.

4 days of celebrations, what a joyous occasion!

I was a little unnerved by how this might turn out, given the unusual positioning of the doggy. However, I absolutely think this has worked. In fact I absolutely love the unusual composition!

Otter
I mean they are pretty cute animals aren’t they?
This is my best efforts to depict one of these cuddly little chaps, floating on his back down a bubbling little stream.

Original will be up for sale but I want to hold on to it for now as I love it too much.

🦦💦otter!!!!! (A4)

Yes, it took me ‘otterly’ ages to complete but it was well worth it.

I’m so so please with the result. In fact I was so excited to get it in the frame that I forgot to take a proper photo, not only that in my haste I still haven’t signed it. That’s a standard Elly “the end is in site, hare not tortoise” style. 🤪

Anyway, it’s done and is for sale. However, a note to potential buyers, you’ll have to wait till I’ve exhibited it a’ight!😘

Prints will be sorted ASAP.
