Big congratulations goes to Adelaide Thompson and ‘Nike-Just Do It’, who earned champion out of 12 in their modified hunter division! Addie works incredibly hard to make her dreams a reality; the ribbons are just the cherry on top! ❤️

This is Cody’s first year horse showing (and Aubrey’s first year doing more than in-house shows at a lesson barn). We had a 'mock medal finals' today in preparation for a busy September/October... Colonial Classic, HHSA Medal Finals, benefit show, HHSA Hunter Derby. The girls (and Moms!) learned how to braid in preparation for the big shows.

Garrison Forest Summer Show ☀️

Aubrey Haeffner and “Heart of Gold” earned reserve champion in the long stirrup eq AND earned her last points needed for her blue merit/medal finals qualifier. Congrats, Aubrey! This was also a big day… Aubrey traded her bows and garters for tall boots and a hair net 😭 These girls need to stop growing up!

Leigha Schrader and “HH Hadwin” earned reserve champion in the hopeful hunters. Little grey and I had our best rounds of the season, so thankful for him!

Thank you, Addie, for being a great groom and coming to support your team… even with a broken arm! We (Nike included) can’t wait to have you back to new in no time!

HHSA Mid Summer Show ☀️
Aubrey Haeffner and “Heart of Gold” had a great day, earning reserve champion in the long stirrup eq!
Adelaide Thompson and “Nike- Just Do It” had good ribbons in all of her divisions, including a well deserved 2nd place in the Harford Pony Medal!
Anastasia Schiavi and “He’s a Pirate” 🏴‍☠️ went to their second show and grew in leaps and bounds! They placed in all their classes and Cupid is becoming quite the show pony!
Leigha Schrader and “HH Hadwin” had some great rounds that lead to ribbons in a big hopeful hunter division, in addition to earning 3rd in the Harford Adult Open Medal.

It was a fun day to horse show! Thank you to all my students and their wonderful families for a great day!

We showed ALONE?? 🫢

Well, not really… Hadwin’s ‘grandparents’ came up to keep us company! HH Hadwin earned good ribbons today, getting in some good schooling rounds in a large hopeful hunter division. He was the only pony in a sea of bay warmbloods and thoroughbreds.

Congratulations to Adelaide Thompson and HH Hadwin on a great day at Maryland Summer Classic in the medium green ponies. At Addie’s third time in the division, her rounds are getting more consistent as she goes. I couldn’t be prouder of the huge progress they have made! McDonough is always such a wonderful, hospitable venue. Their shows never disappoint!

LP Equestrian had a fantastic day at Garrison Forest School for their HHSA/BCHSA show.

“He’s a Pirate” and Anastasia Schiavi had a great day at their first show together, placing 5th in a large flat class and handling the show atmosphere like an old pro!

“Heart of Gold” and Aubrey Haeffner had some great, consistent rounds earning them champion in the long stirrup hunter! So proud of this pairs growth in such a short period of time!

“Nike- Just Do It” and Adelaide Thompson had a great day, really starting to click together as a team. Not only was Addie showing, but she was *training and making great decisions for her pony! The pair earned two 2nds and a 4th in a competitive pleasure pony division!

“HH Hadwin” and Leigha Schrader put in some great rounds, accomplishing their personal goals for the day. They also competed in their first medal class together, winning two 2nds and a 6th for a great day.
