The dogs here desperately need help.
We are facing some of the most challenging times in history and the street dogs are suffering more than you can possibly imagine.
We are making a public plea for people to become PROTECTORS and join in the fight to save these dogs lives.

So the day I've been dreading has arrived. ☹️😟😭

Local govt are planning round ups of stray animals to be taken to an impounded area (which Port Barton does not have).

The brochure states that you have 7 days to collect your dog for a fine of 500peso = $10usd each.
All money collected goes to the local govt so you know they will support this.
It's disturbing that there is no mention of what will happen to the animals after that and the brochure has all smiley faces when after 7 days they will slaughter these animals!

I will be going to the local govt today to discuss this course of action.
Jacq and I were able to slow down the kill shelter they started building last year....
We are 6 months away from the sanctuary being ready due to lack of funding... We are at a complete loss as to how to deal with this given our current situation.

We have been feeding over 200 dogs a day with the help of volunteers over the last 2 weeks and now these animals are going to be rounded up and killed because even most owners won't be able to afford to get their dogs back.

We certainly don't have the budget to be buying dogs everyday at this point.
Please pm if you have any ideas because open conversations will certainly be monitored.

If ever there was a time for Angels it would be now.
Please send us your ❤️ and kind thoughts because me and Jacq are going to need them!

We are looking for people to assist us with the sanctuary when we get operational. Please let us know if you would be interested in volunteering with us and dedicating your time with us.
Volunteers could live at the sanctuary and be responsible for all aspects of animal welfare which would include actual rescues, street feeding, education to the community, assisting with sterilisation events, helping to develop our farm and of course giving a whole lot of love to the animals there.
There will be a massive learning curve and training will be given on communication with the community and handling of street dogs.
I know we will have alot of people come through for a short time but also interested in anyone who would like to look at being with us longterm too.
Please let us know.

We've served up over 3000 Street meals for dogs and cats in July. That's over 840kgs of food so far. We just had 200kgs delivered yesterday (thank you Maciek and Christine for the delivery) and with 55kgs on hand we have enough to last us until 8th August but that's it.
We need to keep building our inventory so that we have a 1 month supply on hand.
We are asking for urgent help to build these stocks so don't have to stress about where the next round of food is coming from.

We've officially changed our name due to official filing of NGO Papers.
While our primary focus is on dogs and cats it is our hope that we can look after any animals that need help.
It's all go here as we start prepping for the future of the sanctuary.
Thank you everyone for your support thus far.
We are reaching out for support with our fundraiser which is listed on the page.
Day by day and step by step we are getting closer.
