Knight (14 month old Cane Corso in this photo) and his sisters have been proving themselves nicely since a very young age. Showing the working Cane Corso’s potential. Power, speed, GRIT, fearlessness, stamina, heat tolerance, pain tolerance, and I could go on. Many still doubt it, and I understand why - until they see it live and in person. 🐗

Kodiak & Grizzly - puppy photo dump @ almost 4 months old. They’ve been great puppies thus far. Very smart puppies with good drives and curiosity for their world, full of life and s***k, they’ve been very easy to train & live with. Looking forward to testing them when they’re older and enjoying the woods together. In the meantime, I’m just enjoying the process =)

Banshee. Best way to describe her is a Belgian Malinois in a Cane Corso body, the type of dog that definitely belongs in a working home. A powerhouse of energy and stamina, she has no off switch. She reminds me of her mom in so many ways, a true working dog. She is a hog slayer as seen on slide 1, but at the same time a sweet loving girl as seen on slides 2 & 3.

Not all Cane Corso are built the same 💎 Banshee our 1 year and 2 months old baby girl, approximately 95-100 lbs of lean mean fast twitch muscle. Too much attention is given to the fat oversized Corso as if the bigger and ‘heavier’ were a good thing and it’s killing the breed. At Diamond Grit Cane Corso, we love and appreciate a working breed that is FIT FOR DUTY! True work will always expose the real from the fake.

Grizzly - our female keeper from Ursa’s litter. This girl will grow up with a lot of eyes on her. Can’t wait to show the world what you can do lil’ one. The next generation of Cane de Presa is here, we got work to do! (Cane de Presa is an old term used in Italy for the Corso’s whose job was a catch dog, as ours are today.)

The pack is growing, and growing strong 💪 PS: Some of y’all been asking for longer format videos again (YouTube videos), there may be some good news coming out soon, stay tuned. 2025 is going to be a fun one!

Everyday life of Cane Corso puppy siblings: Slide 1, sister bites brother playfully. Slide 2, brother bites sister back playfully. Slide 3, one of them takes it too far and they “argue”. Slide 4, they make up and bond over some stick chewing. RINSE & REPEAT.

Knight (Cane Corso) has really stepped up to the plate. Even though he is far from maturity still at only 1 years and 2 months old in this photo, he doesn’t act like a pup, he’s already our lead catch dog. He’s a natural leader, a natural hunter, a natural protector. Can’t ask for a better dog.

Thankful for the good times in 2024. It was a memorable year full of adventures with old friends and some new friends made along the way. Made some good dogs and lost some good ones too. Caught big Hogs and saw some get away. Laughter, tears, blood and sweat were all shared. Life is all about the journey, not the destination. Grateful for 2024, and now I look forward to 2025. (Bit late on the new year post I know, been busy! 😆)

Ursa and Kyros out for a nice jog in the sun ☀️ This is Ursa’s first time running a good distance since she had her litter of 13 puppies. As you can see she’s already tightened up quite nicely. Going to start getting her back into good shape again to bring her on some hunts in the near future, I know she’s been dying to get back out there and put some work in! 🐗

These dogs are sturdier and more resilient than people think. This injury (minor) sustained from a wild Boar shows the 10 day healing progress without any treatments or intervention other than keeping the wound clean to prevent infection. Of course it helps to have a healthy dog in the first place with strong internal defenses. It’s just my opinion but I believe OVER medicating and OVER vaccinations have made our pets weaker and more susceptible to infections and diseases. Of course, it’s a great thing we have those options because it can be life saving when they’re needed, but it’s so important to know when it’s actually necessary and when we’re just falling victims to the market $$$. Knowledge is power, educate yourselves.
PS: This isn’t meant to sound like an attack on the veterinarian field by any means, just a conversational post. In the world of hunting wild Hogs, we count our blessings when it’s only a superficial wound like this injury was, as it could easily have been much worse. A few months earlier I had another dog injured in a very similar way, but that time we did have to take her to a nearby vet and pay for a pricey surgery and medications. So as I said before, we’re blessed to have the options available to us when they’re needed and are thankful for our Vets.

Nice Boar the dogs caught about 2 weeks ago, it was a good opportunity to train this American Bulldog x AmStaff (my Corso named Banshee is the fawn dog holding onto the other ear). It was only this Bulldog’s second time hunting with us, very good natural instincts and great/easy to handle with very little training. Very high prey drive with zero dog aggression. Even though we breed Cane Corso and our goals are to preserve their working traits and abilities they were originally bred for; I also love working with all types of breeds, so you’ll see me post other dogs once in a while on our page. I believe it helps prevent kennel blindness and keeps you honest about what you have and where you’re progressing or lacking in your own yard. There’s strengths and weaknesses in every dog kennel and with every breed. If we can’t acknowledge or see where we are weak or can improve on, then we’ve already lost and are winners only in our own mind.

Knight - 1 year old. This STUD right here is going to be a key piece to our goals of preserving the working traits of the Cane Corso and breeding for the very best working PROVEN functional dogs with solid temperaments and structure. What he has already done and continues to do at only 1 year old is nothing short of exceptional.
