Our hearts are heavy here tonight, Cheerwine *Tiny* passed away this morning.

Being born so tiny, and requiring much intervention in the beginning, there was always the likelihood that something wasn't right internally. I noticed yesterday she was extra sleepy and she began to lose weight rapidly. She passed peacefully in her sleep this morning.

While we are very sad, we take comfort in knowing that she was loved thoroughly all the days of her life.

Praise report here! Sprite is improving each day ♡

She is nursing now and holding her own, she just needs to start gaining some weight now.

But also, I wanted to give a shout out to our awesome puppy sitter Kai and to everyone at Pamlico Animal Hospital. As it would happen, this incident happened just one day before I was set to go out of town. With amazing people helping at home both day and night, I was still able to accompany our youth group to the Carolina Christian Youth Conference for the weekend.

Thankful that God provides for all of our needs, including putting folks in our lives who are able to do all the things when we can't. It truly takes a whole village to raise all the things!

Sweet girl is still hanging on, she did require tube feeding through the night after that initial nursing when she got home. She will visit the vet again today and we will all just continue to wait and see for now. Still praying she makes a full recovery. ♡

Thought I'd share this picture... this is Coca-Cola.. one of the biggest next to Cheerwine, our tiny girl. She is growing, but still has a long ways to go!

She isn't choosing to nurse at this time.. going to wait a bit and see if she gets hungry and if not I will feed her with the tube. Hoping she decides she wants mamas milk first!

Calling all of our prayer warriors!

I woke up this morning to find that "Sprite" was not doing okay, she was under the heating pad and sometime between midnight, when I went to bed, and 6am, when I woke up, she had been laid on or possibly stepped on by her mama. She has spent her day at the vets office getting tube feedings among other care. She is not out of the woods yet but she did make some very tiny progress. She is home tonight where I will continue to keep her warm and feed her by tube ever 2 hours.

Please pray that her suck reflex strengthens! She needs to regain a full suck reflex to be able to nurse properly. We are asking God to heal her little body fully so that she can get back to living life with her siblings.

I will do my best to update everyone as I can. No matter what the outcome, we rest in the knowledge that God is good, all the time.

As for the other babies.. everyone is good at this time! Even "Cheerwine" (tiny girl) is doing well and growing! More pics of the babies to come soon.

These babies are still in that sweet sleepy stage... but they are oh so cute 😍

Notice all that movement? During the newborn stage (first couple of weeks) pups mostly sleep... they move a lot in their sleep like this to build up their muscles and develop their nervous system. This is called Acitvated Sleep.

Did you know we have more than just pups here? Friday we had a nice warm day... we took advantage of the beautiful weather and gave Poky a bath! Porky is my youngest son's spring 4-H project.. he and Porky will show at our county show next month!

And the last to go out were Leyland Cypress (pink) and Balsam Fir (teal) ... even Miss Adventure herself (Balsam) was not a fan... they just wanted to return to their heated palace lol.

Noble Fir and Sugar Pine ... also not a fan of the cold or snow! 🥶 ❄️

We took the babies out in small groups for their first snowy adventure!! Safe to say... not a single one of them were fans 🥶🥶🙈 .. but they still looked so cute! They are now happily snuggled on their bed in front of the heater. Here are the boys: lime green - Fraser Fir, blue - Blue Spruce, black and white check - Douglas Fir.

5 weeks old and living their best life!

Did you know we also have some sweet baby goats? These babies were born the same week as the pups! This is Cypress and Pearl and their mama. 💙🩷
