The gorgeous little Bizzy x Boone pups are 6 weeks old!! Officially at the phase of only having a few out at a time to play cause they are fast! And they like to run in opposite directions 🙃 having more one on one time helps us decide final placements as well! Love these little things!

Happy National Golden Retriever Day!
This is a day worth celebrating for sure. We are so grateful for these incredible pups we are lucky to share our lives with. One you go golden you always go golden! 😍

We are super excited to announce these two have been officially paired up! We hope to confirm pregnancy in a month with the potential due date of April 3rd! Sunny and Boss have successfully paired as well for the exact same due date. It’s going to be an exciting spring around here!! We’ve enjoyed a little break this winter, but are so excited for puppy snuggles soon of all goes as we hope!

“Today she had the opportunity to participate in a large multi agency avalanche rescue drill flying in a helicopter to a search site and finding 2 people burried in under 10 min! It was her first time in a helicopter and she was completely unphased and a trooper until it was time to go to work then it was game on!”

Love hearing about the adventures of Ripley! Working on tracking down some of the same DNA in this Bizzy x Tank pairing to repeat this summer. 😍

Jamie: the most professional sniffer in all of St Louis! He is pro at finding ALL the things… most of the time it’s things that definitely shouldn’t be found 🫣. Dead/decaying/decapitated… anything like that… 95% of the time he’s perfection!

I always say… if we didn’t deal with a few quirks here and there, these golden pups would just end up translated straight into heaven- so we must deal with a few things to keep them here on earth with us 🤪.

This handsome fella “Boss” turns 2 this next week. He just passed his OFA advanced cardio exam with a perfect reading, and final hips/elbows are next week. We never count our eggs until they’ve hatched- anyone who’s done this for more than a minute knows the HUGE investment these pups are in getting them to breeding potential. Hoping for the best with this guy! He’s a good one.

We’ve never done any sort of formal introduction on this page so here we go! We are Tyce and Rachel Erickson- the partnership behind FBGR.

Tyce has been passionate about dogs and has always had his own since he was old enough to save up and buy one all by himself. He started training gun dogs professionally our first year of marriage after we both graduated college so we’ve never known anything different! Tyce eat sleeps and breathes dogs, and I often say he just speaks dogs. We’ve had golden retrievers for about 8 years now after he was able to train a few awesome field bred Goldens, and we just fell in love. The rest is history!

Tyce’s biggest passion is producing awesome family hunting dogs. Even the most dedicated hunters (like Tyce) don’t hunt 365 days a year! That means they need a great temperament and “off-switch”. You can see some of his training work over

After training for so long and seeing thousands of dogs- Tyce is incredibly picky about who we have in our program. Any dog we use has to be solid in the field and with their training. We do a bit of hunt testing to prove they’ve got what it takes, but like I mentioned our biggest focus is a great hunting companion!

Rachel runs this account and most of the communication between our puppy families. I do my best to keep things organized! I stay home with our 5 kids homeschooling, and stay plenty busy between the farm, dogs, and kids! We love what we do, and nothing makes us happier than finding great homes for our pups. Seeing them grow up to be family members brings us so much joy!

We’ll never claim to be perfect in anything, and we are committed to learning, growing and becoming better with each litter we have. We are proud of our dogs, and would love to have you join our FBGR family!
