Welcome Snoopy!! We were gifted this very handsome little guy this afternoon. Snoopy is a white ebony curly chinchilla. These chinchillas have a very unique fur type. We are happy to have Snoopy join our family💕

Trick or treat! Although it may be tempting to share your treats with your chinchilla, it’s not a good idea. Chinchillas have super sensitive digestive systems. However, if you can’t resist the temptation to indulge your fluff ball, here are some ideas for treats that we know they will enjoy: a cheerio (just one oe two), a single shredded wheat (plain), or a tsp of steel cut oats. Rose hips, hibiscus, and calendula are all safe too. We will be handing out apple sticks and cholla wood to the herd. Happy Halloween!

We are so fortunate and blessed beyond belief to have weathered the storm. Electricity is on, the chinchillas are happy, and everyone is having their evening snack as usual. This beautiful beige girl is Soirse💕

With the upcoming storm due to arrive later this week, we are quite busy making hurricane preparations. We have 2 generators, a portable AC, and tons of water ready to go. The chinchillas have not a care in the world. Look at these furry faces💕💕💕

The chins are just hanging around waiting for the storm to pass. They have no worries in the world 😊 Clean cages, dust baths, fresh hay and their own AC unit with a generator just in case. Stay safe everyone!

The chinchillas are getting some love💕Charlotte’s little girl is just a big ball of fluff. Maluma, our violet, is known to be a bit prickly, but he’s all sweetness on this fine afternoon!

I brought out handsome Marky to watch some tv, and I just learned that Twinkie’s daughter is highly motivated by food. She stole this piece of shredded wheat from her mom! Look at Twinkie’s face- lol. A girl after my own heart💕

We’ve seen little baby chinchillas start to eat just days after they are born. Charlotte’s two beautiful girls went to town this evening when we put some fresh timothy hay. We love Hattie with the little white tipped tail! Her sissy, Isabella, is pretty cute too.

This is one of our lovely blue diamonds, Monica. Before she had babies a couple of weeks ago, she wasn’t super friendly. Since that day, however, we have been BFFs😊💕 I don’t know what has changed, but ok! I’m more than just the cheerio lady now!

We updated our website today! The chins were super cooperative with my amateur photo session and very well behaved. The little standard gray boy, Aslan, wins the award for most photogenic. But, really, these chinchillas are so stinking cute that they never take a bad picture💕

Despite the storm, the chinchillas had a pretty good weekend. A big box of new toys arrived in the mail and we welcomed two new babies!! Monica and Dobby are the proud parents of two beautiful girls. We call this cute beige chinnie “Fiona.” Her sister wasn’t in the mood for pictures. Maybe next time 💕
