Because my Friday nights are so exciting....I put the whelping box together in preparation for Abby and Leo's puppies due at the end of March 🤦‍♀️ This will likely be our only litter for this year and should be absolutely stunning ❤️

And just like that all our babies are in their new homes 😭😍😭😍. It's such an emotional time for us but we LOVE seeing the reactions of new owners when they first see their babies in the flesh. Here's big boy Hugo exploring his new backyard ❤️

Miss River ❤️ happily settled for the night, didn't make a peep when we put her to bed and fell asleep even with us still up and our teens walking in and out of their rooms. Her brother and the browns are also fast asleep in their crates. They've all been sleeping through until about 6am, which is amazing! The main reasons we crate train are for safety and comfort....puppies can't get up to mischief, they have a safe place to rest when needed (yes they will take themselves to their crates during the day) and if they have a vet stay or have to be crated due to emergency they won't stress.

And then there were 3! We will be making the trek to Sydney next week to deliver these gorgeous floofs to their new families. Always bittersweet but we are blessed to have such amazing forever homes for them and know that they bring their new families such joy ❤️

Today Mr Rocco left to join his forever family. He's staying in Armidale so we'll be able to watch him grow as he comes for grooming which is amazing ❤️🤩❤️

Miss River has decided she no longer needs her siblings and "cousins" and has fully joined our family. She really is the perfect mix of her mum and dad ❤️

Our last little boy had a meet and greet with a potential family today and I'm super pleased that they have fallen in love with him. Even better he will be staying in Armidale so we'll get to watch him grow ❤️❤️❤️

Morning play in the outside day pen...as this is new to them I've only added things they were already familiar with...once they are comfortable we will add in extra activities to keep them busy but so far they are loving the sunshine, seeing their parents and having lots of space to run and play ❤️

As the puppies get older and their new owners start preparing for their arrival I'll be posting things that might assist them :) so today let's talk bowls! Puppies LOVE tipping bowls over if they can! So I definitely recommend the pictured style or heavy ceramic (especially good for keeping water cool) that they can't knock over ❤️

Let's talk puppy pads! This is the pups current night time setup (open crate is above the dark grey pad). We prefer to use reusable pads...why?? Little puppies love to destroy puppy pads and if they happen to swallow some of the absorbent fluff from inside them it can swell in their little tummies and cause big issues. I've taped the pads down as otherwise the pups think they are just some else to play with 🤦 I also have a grass potty which I've moved to their outside/day time pen, but the grass does have to be replaced fairly regularly to avoid getting smelly. They are all getting pretty good at getting used to going on the pads or grass ❤️
