AlvaBarrier combines essential oils with our unique coat conditioner. The formulation helps protect a horse's coat, reducing the problems caused by the mud and rain.

Letβs get technical - how does it work?
Upon application to the skin, AlvaBarrier forms a protective film on the surface while still allowing the skin to βbreatheβ. Oxygen, nitrogen, and other nutrients can still pass through the film. However, AlvaBarrier does not allow water π¦ to pass through, which is an ideal quality for preventing dry, dehydrated skin.
πWe also added essential oils such as tea tree oil to help ensure skin does not become irritated.This product is a winter favourite, especially if you want to protect feathers.
For those who currently use pig oil etc and asking why switch to this.
It winter clog their skin and is breathable and should not cause an allergic reaction. Safe to use on sore/mudfever and helps to heal.

AlvaFly contains eucalyptus and a citronella substitute oil (to make it usable under FEI rules). The combination of these oils makes a powerful fly repellent that is long lasting.

Why does it work better on a clean coat?
Horses that are stabled often lie down in their boxes. As best as we try, stable beds donβt remain clean for all the time horses are in. Stable stains attract flies to your pony.
