Rather than blaming one breed it’s high time the owner’s started taking responsibility.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could report every dog that tries to bite us in the surgery if the owner doesn’t dare, care or can not intervene to protect us vets and veterinary nurses. If that reporting would then be followed up, wouldn’t that be amazing.
Can all the powers that be talk to vets and vet nurses, I’m sure we could contribute a enormous wealth of good advice.

Menopausal symptom number 4: Brittle nails. I’ve always found photos of cracked or broken fingernails a bit repulsive, hence a photo of another nail. I’m not sure about this one as I’ve chewed my nails on and off my whole life, so I wouldn’t know if they became brittle during the menopause. The only time I stopped chewing them was during my pregnancies as I wanted to make sure I didn’t pick up a zoonotic disease that could have harmed my babies.
Brittle nails is a symptom that’s easy to deal with as vets need short nails anyway and there are plenty of strengthening products (topical or tablets). I would recommend Biotin for my canine patients 😉

There are 34 apparently, menopausal symptoms, that is. I’ll post one a day.
