After a fee meals and some thought I've decided to coin this gene the comet gene as it's pattern looks rocky and broken up....these two boys and my female hold back are all het clown so should make for some cool stuff in the future.

So this girl is the lone survivor of a vanilla spotnose het clown x super fire clown...my guess is fire clown possibly spotnose??? It doesn't traditionally look like one's I've seen.. what's your thoughts?

Well, hears a season highlight! Got 5 eggs from a pastel dbl het dg clown x clown het enhancer. 3 went bad and the remaining gave me a dg 100% het clown and this pastel dg clown!!!! So happy to have the pleasure of hanging one of these.

I love when a gamble pays off! So here's the story. I had the opportunity to purchase an import male a while back. the original pics were poor but enough to know he was different. Given that there have been a couple new cutting edge projects done with granite type genes I thought it was a good move to bring this guy into the collection... I bred him to a clown and only a clown female. Fast forward she gave me a healthy clutch and as I had hoped he proved that he is indeed genetic!!! It seems to be a pattern and color mutation as all the babies that inherited his genetics have a granite hurricane type pattern all edged in white. This trait seems to react differently then most of the other granite genes I've kept my eye on and they seem so variable. I ended up with a male heavy clutch and only 2 girls. So proving a super will be a ways out but the fact that there 100% het clown should take this project into a great direction until we prove a super to be possible. I am still unsure of a name as I would like to make more into other combos to see howbits influence applies. But for now myself and one other breeder have these genetics so It will be good fun to see what it does compared to other genes. Any who just wanted to share the beginning of this projects journey.
