24.5 years old. 🌈 I would have never imagined I was going to be lucky enough to love you this long, Rikki girl. Saying goodbye to you last night and knowing you won’t be around anymore will be an empty space in my heart. From elementary school, all the traveling from college to live with your auntie until I got out of the dorms and could have you with me again, back to mom and dads and then to our first home when it was just you and me, then back to mom and dads til we found our new home, and now you meeting my baby who loved you so much. You have helped me teach so many people about reptiles and have helped my friends understand how fun reptiles can be! Thank you for being the sweetest, easiest, and I’m almost certain longest living little scaley friend I will ever have. Rest easy beautiful girl. 💝

My daughter saying goodbye to Pluto 🥹❤️ After months of sorting through applicants for him, I have finally found an amazing new home for him and he should be going home this weekend. ❤️ This is the hardest part about rehab/rehomes, especially when they are sweet and easy to care for, but I know it’s for the best and he’s going to have a wonderful remainder of his life! He is the very last of my rehabs that I plan to be rehoming, and I will not be taking on any more for a while as my continues and I open a new business/change my career😅!

Dude was rehomed in October to a lady who was super excited to cater to his picky, ever changing taste buds 😂. I am always totally open with the new homes and mentioned how picky he is and how he had parasites I’ve treated and retested f***l samples and more! It took me the longest thus far out of any of my rehab/rehomes to find the right fit for him but he’s doing great with his new mom! 🥰
This is certainly becoming bitter-sweet finding awesome homes for these helpless reptiles. I can’t wait to one day be able to do this all over again.

Big, handsome Gator boy found his new home last weekend 🥺. Of course he had to be a sweetheart the day of and was super calm when holding him when usually he hated it 😂 New owners said he’s doing awesome!

This sweet boy might be going to his new home soon 🤧❤️ The rehoming process has been tough but rewarding. I’ll continue to stay strong to finish what I started: To rehab and rehome. ❤️

Rikki is now 23 YEARS OLD! On June 18th, 1998 I was given this little lady from a girl in my elementary school class who was moving. We didn’t know how old she was so we made the day I got her her “birthday”. Happy to have celebrated yet another “got ya” day with this little lady. I will be very surprised if she makes it another year only because she’s starting to do some really odd things like walking in circles, missing when she hunts, and never fully shedding so I have to get it all off for her, but anything seems possible with her! Happy 23 years together my little lady!

If you’re looking for aquatic feeders check out ! 🙌This post is way overdue but I purchased some ramshorn snails from Savage a while back to breed for my peapuffer and they arrived quickly and were a very reasonable price! They have since been breeding and I have a very happy puff 🥰Thanks Savage 🙏

Dart and Petunia are loving their new home! Their new owner has updated me already a couple times and asks questions when needed. Look how bright and happy they are! Couldn’t be happier with this rehoming choice 💘

Continuing to do what I always said I would do for my rehabs but always got too attached- rehoming! The next 2 for a new awesome home is Dart and Petunia. After declining several people I found a super nice person to adore them both from this point forward.
Yes, it took me having a human baby to continue finding homes for my rehabs and do what I promised myself I would do from the beginning of these rehabs but hey, I’m finally doing it!
I’ll especially miss my sweet Petunia. And Dart, well he’s always just been a cocky handsome bro. 🙏❤️
I’ll have to find some time dig up the pictures from their beginnings! They’ve come a long way ❤️

Went fishing with BROOD X cicadas trying to get us a cicada catch! It was late already though and only caught the tiniest fish ever 😂

Haven’t updated the reptile/pet IG followers with my human baby progress! 😘Almost there! 🥰 34 weeks and a very jealous kitty (out of all the furbabies, he’s definitely the most clingy through the pregnancy especially recently.)
And as always- sorry for the lack of posts these past months. Growing a baby is pretty tiresome but all the animals are still doing wonderful- no important updates to report besides that they are still being spoiled of course and that won’t change! Posting has just become lower on the priority list but I’ll get back to it cause I love showing off my scaley, slimy, furry babies! 💕

It’s been a tough week. On Wednesday my new little girl April suddenly passed away.
This picture was just Tuesday night, when she displayed these colors so I took a picture. I was so excited and thought she would be laying her first infertile clutch by morning. She was eating daily, drinking, perfect urates and poos, and just a beautiful happy girl. Timing was right, lay box had been ready since I’ve had her (only less than 1 month), coloring was right, and she had been chubby since I got her from the breeder and always getting chubbier! Breeder said should be soon for sure....
Well Wednesday I woke up to a very sick cham. She was still walking around her branches and on me, but eyes sunken in and occasionally showing abnormal breaths due to discomfort. Scheduled to bring her to the vet same day for xrays and if those confirmed these eggs needed to come out, an oxytocin dose to induce her or if that didn’t work, I would spay her that day. Well... time was not on our side, and she passed away.
After passing, we still took xrays and did a necropsy and my baby was in fact egg bound. What caused this- we will never know. I limited all possible stressors with her while I knew she would lay soon, but being a captive bred female it definitely could have been genetically related (as researched by many published documents my vet was showing me due to the increase of captive bred chameleons they have seen much higher rates of reproductive issues).
She was a perfect beautiful girl with an amazing temperament I had hoped to breed with my perfect beautiful boy who has an amazing temperament... but sometimes things certainly are just too good to be true.
Rip April baby. I wish I could’ve given you a long and happy cham life 😔

Spotted a Praying Mantis laying it’s egg case (ootheca) this week! This female will die in approximately 2 weeks with a total lifespan only about 1 year long 🥺.
