Received this wonderful message from Liz her new owner today. Carlie on left with her friend Epona on right.
Thank you to all who donated to Carlies rehabilitation. Some monetarily and some with products and services. All were instrumental in her recovery. It takes a village. ❤️

Carlie checking out just a couple of the bags of supplements donated by Purina to aid in her recovery. A big shout out thank you to Wendy Simone Voss who put me in touch with Mary Finnegan ( the Purina Rep) who arranged for this generous donation. Also a heartfelt thank you to Tickners Feed in Hackettstown who ordered the feed in and loaded it for me. It takes a village!!!

Carlie is the dam of 5 beautiful offspring. Three are still racing. Two are pictured below.
She was in foal again when her terrible journey began but lost that foal somewhere along the way.
Today she had a reproduction exam to be sure she has no uterine complications. There are some minor issues present however she is in the best of hands with reproduction specialist Dr Jennifer Linton.

Today was dental day for Carlie. She had numerous sharp points that were creating ulcers in her mouth and she had been having difficulty chewing.
Thank you to Dr Jessica Martin and her assistant Kelli Freeman for doing such a great job.

I would like to thank all of Carlies supporters.
Without the assistance of so many through monitory donations through Carlies Go Fund Me, donations of services toward her continued recovery and support in so many other ways none of this would be possible.
We still have a long way to go in her recovery.
I will continue to update her page every day or so showing her progress.
The link to her Go Fund Me is below if interested however sending healing energy and prayers and following her story are just as important.

Throughout these posts I have failed to mention that Carlie was born in the bluegrass of Kentucky. She is by Dynaformer who was the sire of Barabaro. Many know Barbaro as the famous racehorse who after winning the Kentucky Derby fractured his leg in the Preakness Stakes in 2006. The entire country was captivated by his 7 month battle to survive which ultimately ended in euthanasia.
