When a dog growls, pulls, avoids touch, barks, or suddenly “acts out,” it’s not random disobedience — it’s communication.
They might be saying, “I’m in pain.”
“I’m scared.”
“This feels too much for me.”
Or even, “I don’t understand what you want.”
If we treat these signs as problems to be fixed, we risk silencing our dogs instead of listening to them.
But if we treat them as messages to understand, we open the door to compassion, curiosity, and ethical behaviour work.
So before asking “How do I stop this?”, try asking “Why is this happening?”
Because many so-called “training problems” are actually signs of discomfort, stress, or even pain in the body.
And no amount of obedience training can solve that.
✨ True progress comes when we stop seeing behaviour as an inconvenience — and start seeing it as information.
That’s when trust grows, and real change begins. 💛
