One look at Lotus and you will fall in love. Lotus does not look at you, she looks through you……………...

Lotus has quite a story. She was hit by an 18 wheeler and landed in the middle of a busy road. 70 mile per hour traffic…….with cars driving around her. Only one person stopped, a guardian angel on that day……….

managed with the help of another to drag (yes, literally) out of danger and take her to the nearest veterinarian. Amazingly, Lotus had no broken bones and suffered internal bruising and a bit of a limp. All of which is now healed.

Lotus has beautiful features besides her stunning eyes. She is white with a brown face mask. She weighs 58 lbs. and no doubt is Catahoula Leopard and mix. With one ear up and one ear down all the time, it looks as if she is saying, “huh?”. Inquisitive by nature and always ready to learn. Lotus knows commands. She will sit, stay and lay down at your request. Even more impressive she will sit and stay with a simple hand command. She is house trained and crate trained, professionally trained spending 5 months in behavioral school. It doesn't get better than this…………..

Lotus needs to be the only dog in the family. Loyalty and protection is her speciality. This combination makes her interested in what you are doing daily. Her energy level is high. She loves to be outside but always need access to a safe home environment. Lotus is somewhat suspicious of other dogs and people that she is unfamiliar with. She is very affectionate and loves to have her belly rubbed. An expert with the “downward dog” posture, its no wonder she enjoys yoga and spa music. Lotus has been known to watch T.V., in fact, she might even block your view if she’s really interested. Always responsive and obedient she will be a great companion and protector to her owner.

Lotus has spent 5 months with a professional dog trainer. She understands and knows many commands. If you wish to employ a new one, it only take a few times of repetition plus a treat. Lotus always surprises, you, with her understanding. Lotus likes the old country and western song, by Conway Twitty. “Slow Hand”.

Lotus is full of love and loyalty for the right situation.

Oh, those Bette Davis eyes.......

Yeah, that’s me. I know I’ve got em, plus that certain something. So let me tell you what happened. I was out for a run one day and almost escaped being hit by an 18 wheeler, but it got me. Threw me up in the air and I landed in the middle of a busy 2 lane road. I was helpless and really scared. There were alot of cars whizzing by me and I couldn’t move. A guardian angel came and stopped and with some help from another guardian angel put me in her car and drove me to the nearest vet. I couldn’t even stand up and I was a little bloody. But low and behold, I didn’t have any breaks after all the x-rays and sonograms were taken. I did have some internal bruising, that’s all cleared up now.

Now, I’m looking for some new diggs. As in a furever home. You can probably see that I have quite alot to offer. I’m no Sherlock Holmes but I do have a nose for things, if you know what I mean. I’ve got those silly commands that humans do down. Just between you and me, I know alot more than I let on most of the time. Lately, I’m just keeping it simple so my guardian angel doesnt get on overload with all that training. When she says, “go to your room”, I go to the crate and WAIT. I wait for the best part, which is the treat that follows. I know the sit, stay command. But the best one is when she says, “its time for tummy rubs”. I can walk on a leash, but it can get tricky. Sometimes furry rabbits jump out and I really would like to chase them. My guardian angel tells me they are special and we are not playing chase with them. Oh dear, deer? Yes, we have staring contests. I usually win, I stare the longest and they take off. Yep, you guessed it, my guardian angel says we are not playing chase with the deer today. She’s pretty strict on the walk thing. So you see, I would really like a place where I can run. It probably needs to be a 6 ft. privacy fence. Some animals dont’ like it when I give them the stare. I think I could get used to sharing space with another 4 legged canine creature, but it might take a little time for me to get used to it. Keeping this between you and me, I would like to be the “only” fur baby. I can promise you this. I am loyal as the day is long. When you get me, “security is in the house”.
